Octane's 370z journal
Hey all, long time lurker, figured I'd finally make a build thread now that I got a few mods done. Names Jack and I live in Chicago. Bought the car brand new exactly 3 months ago. I usually build my cars very quickly and then get a little bored, so I'm going to try and take this build a little slower than my previous builds. Overall plan is to have a really nice and clean Z with bolt ons. More mods will be coming in the following weeks.

So I opted to just get the front and rear bumpers. https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8766/2...eaeefe12_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8623/2...b13219e9_b.jpg After swapping the bumpers, figured my car needs some suspension upgrades. Settled on the KW version 1 coilovers and SPL rear camber arms. The entire install probably took me 4-5 hours on an extremely hot and humid day. But the ride is so much better now. Absolutely love KW coilovers. https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8698/2...1ddbf0e0_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8367/2...1fc987cb_b.jpg Took a drive down Route 66 to get the coilovers to settle a bit. And also installed the GTR push start button. Small little upgrade visually. https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8607/2...82e5c675_b.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7665/2...338383c8_c.jpg Wasn't 100% happy with the ride height, so decided to lower the car some more and now I'm really satisfied with the look. Went out to take some pictures at a nice building nearby. https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8380/2...9798421b_h.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7622/2...c5999152_h.jpg |
My previous ride, 2010 Subaru STI hatchback. This car was awesome, did everything possible to it and was lucky enough to have a feature in Bonzai Magazine.
Air suspension, AG Wheels, 400whp/455wtq on e85. Tons of quality parts. https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3752/1...8f8a3621_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/517/19...338b6904_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8580/2...1f5d9a99_c.jpg Also, previously had a 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe. https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7636/2...02b00c51_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8756/2...34856beb_b.jpg |

Sweet car! I have a 2017 coupe but Deep Blue Pearl. I am currently getting a price for the front and rear nismo bumper from a local dealer. I hope they can color match it because Nismo's didnt come in my color... Anyways that looks AMAZING man!

Haven't updated this page in a while. Installed a few things since my last post, most noticeable would be the Motordyne exhaust and some 19" VSXX
