first photos magnetic black 2009

Just figured I'd join the community since I've been gawking at people's Z's for almost a year on this site. Any tips/suggestions for cosmetic and/or inexpensive performance upgrades?

Good looking Z!

If you don't already have the illuminated kick plates installed, those add a nice visual touch to the car for a relatively low price.

I'm not familiar with the "kick plates". Are they the glowing orange Z's at the bottom cusp of the door when it is opened? If so, I saw some people on this site with different colors, namely blue, and now I wonder if it is easy to change the color of those lights...

It's a pain in the *** to open them up and get to the LEDs. Opening aside, it's a simple job of removing the orange LEDs and soldering in some PLCC replacements.

so...any chance anybody knows if tinting taillights is legal in CA? I'm thinking of going for the full "murdered" look. anyone out there go ALL black and stay legal?

It is illegal in California unfortunately, and it's a really easy excuse for cops to pull you over. If it wasn't my lights would be black as night.

I would maybe consider getting a black license plate to keep it consistent at the rear end. $50 for it from the DMV and you can customize the plate no extra charger. There is a $50 yearly renewal fee.

Today a went to the grocery store for breakfast supplies and beer (the essentials). When I pulled into the lot, I was met with a beautiful sight- another Z! I creepily parked next to the brotherly beast and took some quick shots LOL
