I plan on starting the test fit today. I won't lie I am a bit scared to hack the car up. I figure I will start by hacking up the front fenders since they are replaceable hahaha.
After seeing the Moonbeam wing in person I actually like it more than I thought. Definitely will post up pics. |

Going has been a bit slow, mostly because i have been trying to sort out the mounting hardware for the overfenders.
Decided I didn't want to go with the cheap and easy rivet option, so I am using rivet nuts and machine screws to mount things up. Which meant picking up the threaded riveter and ordering rivnuts and black oxide stainless screws. unfortunately i misjudged the diameter of screw head and the first set came too small. fortunately, i was able to use some washers and make them work for mounting the front lip. Also, here is a couple of quick vids of my Defi gauges on startup. I am happy with the setup... the only thing I forgot to take in to consideration is that the EcuTek hijacks the factory oil temp gauge for the traction control. At this point I am mostly guessing. Fortunately I was able to look at my brothers gauge to get a count of how many settings there are. --------------------------- I have also been giving some serious thought to having my intercooler thermal coated black. Cost is pretty reasonable, and it seems there are some gains for low speed cooling. Mostly I just think it will look better. Thoughts? Last edited by AntiVenom; 01-11-2017 at 03:09 PM. |

This was the most recent image of the car before it went to the body shop earlier this summer. Decided to have a body shop finish it up. They are extending the flares to cover the tires, "squaring up" the arches a bit, fixing the fender to door panel gap, addressing a couple of paint issues, blending, etc. It's a buddies shop so progress is slow. Expect it to be done by mid october, if not earlier. Can't argue with the price though. Last edited by AntiVenom; 09-18-2017 at 08:51 PM. |

Believe it or not it's still being worked on. The whole buddy network didn't pan out (surprise!!) so it sat in the garage for a while until I could get the funds together to have it professionally done. We are fixing some old shitty body work as well as getting all the aftermarket fiberglass totally smooth. Basically the old girl is in for a full respray. Should be back together in the next few weeks.
