Shipped out the parts today! For those who don't know I spent a ton of money with GTM and I spent over $4k on built heads... Well guess my surprise when we pulled the heads and they were stock!!! Freaking stock heads!!!!!! So needless to say I will have to pay to have them done again... This time I'm assembling the long block... The new setup is going to be great! BIG thanks to the guys at RJ MFG. This is going to be an insane motor! 9k rpm 4.0L monster!

How's it feel to have it stuck in without lube? What else didn't he do, that you don't know about yet?

At this point there will not be a single GTM part on this car... Mike is switching over to our motor and he is also running the fast intentions kit. Plus our fuel system and a whole bunch more...

bullitt5897 08-09-2016 12:35 PM

Thanks and I am looking forward to the new setup! this new motor will definitely take the Fast intentions kit to the next level!

Masterbeatty 08-09-2016 12:51 PM

Good luck on the new set up! Do you have any video of the old motor popping?

Carbon_z 08-09-2016 02:50 PM

When you let someone else build your motor it is a big big risk. This
has been happening for years on all types of engines. Been there done that. It is a hard pill to swallow. I am very reluctant to let anyone build one for me. Let's just say I learned that hard lesson years ago.

The motor did not pop... We just were seeing some anomalies in the logs which meant I needed to break the motor down to see where the restrictions were. once the motor was broken down it was quite obvious where the restrictions were. This was the final straw that broke the camels back. At that point I went 100% in to a new motor build I could control.

smh..Atleast you found out now (good thing for motor tear down) and not afterwards assuming they were in there wiht the prior setup. That is just a whole new low.

bullitt5897 08-18-2016 06:48 AM

Well a new update turns out we are getting the whole intake port matched from the throttle bodies all the way to the heads. Even the turbo manifolds will be receiving some love... After handing these items over to the porters we found lots of areas on on the Greddy intake that could be improved upon and since we are porting the exhaust ports this means a slight adjustment on the turbo manifolds to reduce any chances of turbulence.

bullitt5897 08-18-2016 06:48 AM

The goal is to have all the port work and the machine work on the motor done in a few weeks time.
