Default Broxx's '15 Nismo Build Thread

So I've decided to create a build thread for my 2015 Nismo. It won't be too over the top because I enjoy my factory warranty but there are quite a few things I have in mind!

To start off:

2015 370z Nismo Tech
- Pearl White

Options:
- 7A/T
- Illuminate kick plates
- Nismo floor mats

After a week of purchasing the modding began.

First up on the list was window tint. I went with 30% all around. I've had 5, 20 and 35 in the past but I wanted to keep this one as legal as possible.

Pics:

Up next I ordered the Mower Axle front plate mount. With a lot of driving in downtown Chicago I didn't want to risk being ticketed for no front plate. Easily unscrews leaving no trace it was there.

Pics:

Next I did a full interior, cool white, LED conversion, along with corner markers and license plate light. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it ATM.

Along with the LED lights, I upgraded the HID bulbs to a Morimoto 5000k. Purchased from TheRetrofitSource.

Driver side is the 5000k with LED corner marker, passenger is OEM 4300k with amber corner marker

As many Nismo owners know, when driving at highway speeds or even around town the cabin gets quite loud. After doing some digging I went ahead and wrapped the hatch, hatch lid and door panels with Ballistic sound deadening sheets to reduce road noise. Although it does not completely eliminate it, it is a noticeable improvement.

Pics:

That is currently everything as of right now. I am waiting for a few more parts to arrive, my Stillen Gen 3 intake and Tein Street Flex coil overs along with an EDFC Active PRO electronic dampening.

I'll post back when more progress is made

In the meantime, here are some shots from a little shoot I did in downtown Chicago.

I like the sound matting, would love to do it on my 15, just to reduce it a little bit on the highway. Where did you get it and how much did you have to order?

IMO it was completely worth it. I still have the hatch exposed, meaning all the trim isn't back in yet. I took it around town for a little bit and it was noticeable already. It's going to be perfect when everything is put back in.

I purchased the Ballistic wrap from BestBuy. I used 2 trunk kits (10 pieces of 12"x24") about $150 each. I ended up having some left so I did inside the fenders as far as i could get my hand and then the hatch lid as well.

A little late but the coilovers are put on. The ride is exactly what I wanted. Smoother ride in the city, compared to the stiff Nismo suspension. I currently drive around in the "auto" mode, which automatically adjusts the dampening depending on the change in G force. So how hard I accelerate/decelerate and corner. I haven't had time to set all the custom presets. All in all I am beyond pleased with this set up. It's not extremely expensive, slightly cheaper than KW V3's but I love the ability to fine tune everything on the fly or just let the computer do everything itself.

I've been super busy so I don't have any good pics showing the drop. Here are a few pics of my Tein products though.

Tein Street Flex

Tein EDFC Active Pro controller

Dampening Motors that mount on top of the struts

And this beast that was in the shop I went to. 900hp Zilla, full carbon body. Awaiting rear quarter panels

I wanted to add a little Carbon Fiber to the Nismo so instead of paying hundreds for a roof cap I decided to wrap it in VViViD Vinyl TechArt Gloss Carbon Fiber. It looks awesome during the day. Ill post more pics tomorrow of the vinyl up close. Up next is EvoR CF mirror caps.
