Yeah, here's the link to the relay kit I got.

I may still do it later... I've also been debating catch cans too. I decided to wait on those off the bat for the sake of reducing boost leak points initially. Wanted to make sure I did the kit right first before adding more complexity.

Ok thanks Groove!! have you gotten to take the Z out for a spin after the install ? :)

GrooveStyle 03-27-2016 02:00 PM

Yup! Just found my suction cup mount for my go pro the other day, so I'll take some videos on the next nice day we have. AFR's all look good and the tune seems pretty decent. I haven't been able to hit full boost yet. Max I've gotten is 8.6 psi so far using just spring pressure. That was at 3/4 throttle in 3rd gear. Lost traction, hah! I need new tires.... But yeah, it's hard not to smile with a turbo 370z. Just an awesome amount of power for that car on tap. Everything I've wanted for this car.

Hoping to get on a dyno so I can dial in my EBC here in the next month or so. As things warm up here in Iowa I plan on trying to get more miles on the car. I'm planning on going to Branson Z Fest here in the beginning of June and want to make sure the car has enough reliability for the road trip!

Nice!! I can't wait to those videos!

SwissCheese 05-03-2016 07:24 PM

Sooooooooo, how's it running?

GrooveStyle 05-03-2016 07:52 PM

Haven't really had time to get it out for the last month. Been pretty wrapped up with life stuff lately between work and school. I did however get new RE11's mounted, but the car has pretty much sat lately since :( Hoping to take it out this weekend (after I finish my classes, lol) I really need to make up the miles on it before Branson!

Hey Groove! How's your car running?

Was working on my setup and thought you might be interested -- how many threads do you get on the 4 inner stud/nut mount points for the tow bar? On my 2013 the Gamma spacer is just over 6mm, and the thickness of the tow bar mating surface is also just over 6mm. There are just under 15mm of threads on the studs, so I literally can only grab about 2 threads with those nuts. Those nuts are aluminum I think - and if I pull on the tow bar without the additional 4 bolts installed I can literally strip all of them. The bolts themselves are not good enough... I had my car towed by them when I got tuned (since I could not fit the nuts on) and one of those mount points bent a little.

Anyhow, I think I've got a solution for it that is kind of a frankenstein of hardware but I should be able to grab all the threads on the stud. LMK if you are interested and I'll take some notes and pictures of it when I set it up... Maybe the earlier models had more threads available? I know you did say before that you didn't have problems getting yours back in position just using the provided spacers.

Still running okay? Who did you say did the tuning?

Well, after quite a break from upgrading the Z over the last few years, I went ahead and decided to add the CJM S1.E RFS and RRP to my setup (keeping my current 650cc injectors and 255LPH pump). Headed back to DB Performance in Rogers, MN tomorrow to retune and add the ARC license on Uprev!

Hoping this should resolve my fuel pressure issues on the top end! Also really excited for the RRP to help get me back up and lapping consistently on my next track day.

Well, things didn’t really go as planned yesterday... fuel pressure would increase with boost only a few PSI, then fall off... not even under full load... my tuner thought it might be due to a plumbing issue that I may have missed. Since all I had was the mini fuel pressure gauge in my engine bay, I ordered an in-cabin gauge to install and confirm I fixed it before going back to the tuner. Pretty disappointing to drive 7 hours round trip, spend $300 and have nothing to show for it.

Gauge is coming next week, tuning appointment Oct 1st, anxious to find root cause of the issue!

hah, thanks! This is true! At least while I'm going back through my system, I'll be able to snap pictures of the whole fuel setup and add that to the thread! :tiphat:
