The car is cool, but should this be called an RWB build?

When I think RWB, I think low, wide, flat black paint, colored lip, ultra wide SSR professors

blak max 03-09-2016 02:36 PM

have you gone over 120 with the wing?

I explain in the build description what is planed, S1's, flairs, the car is already low. Out of hundreds of RWB's made sofar there is 1 mayyyybe 2 flat black cars. Rwb's run a black lip. and in my description im running the same wheels specs as RWB victoria 19x11.5 19x13. And the car will be 6 inches wider after the flairs. i checked off all your criteria believe. RWB's run mostls work wheels as well not ssr's

He circuit tracks it and sees a big difference

DatsunFTW 03-10-2016 07:05 PM

I track with it. Very noticeable difference Max. I'll be back at the FIRM in two weeks and then VIR on the 25th. Highway drive it everyday. Still holding very strong.

Awkward question, does your trunk still open no problem with this wing? I have a slightly extended mines spoiler and I'm worried that it'll hit the battle aero wing

On my vert the trunk won't open, granted the trunk is tiny on the very so not really to bad for me, I actually had tried locating it on the brackets so it would open and really it just won't, but that's on a roadster

What you can do is position the wing furthest back and us bicycle set brackets that adjust the seat. unlatch it and when done reposition and clamp back down. i got this from another BA user

Hey Edzilla, great build you got going man. I think the AimGain Flares with those Work wheels wheel make a big change.

So I had a question about your spoiler. I'm waiting on BattleAero to make the Force 2 XL in Carbon Fiber. I heard Thomas recently removed his due to stress cracks ( Not specific on where ). So my question is, how is your spoiler holding up ? :wtf2:

im also waiting for the 2x as well but so far no issuse i havnt put to many miles on it nor no i hard core track my z like he does with his. i just asked him where his fractures are. they could be from over tightening the x braces in the middle of the wing. i notices when i was making news ones for mine the brackest to the wing deck its self had alllllot of tension on the mounting point so if you dont tighten them tooo much i feel you'd be ok.

Sounds great man. I emailed, BattleAero yesterday and they told me the Carbon weave should be in by Friday. I then proceeded to ask them if I could order it right now and they haven't replied... LOL Wel anyways, thanks for the feedback and help bro ! :happydance:

DatsunFTW 04-28-2016 03:39 PM

The stress cracks were a split between the top and bottom half. The battle aero wing had no core or any internal backbone for the rivets to hold onto properly. Therefore causing the wing to flex and potentially break at the rivets. If you were to stand on the wing hollow it would snap inwards. Whereas I reinforced mine but cutting it in two filling it with a foam core and steel sheets under the Fiberglass below the mounting points. I could stand on it mounted to the car if I wanted to.

edzilla123 05-01-2016 11:09 PM

DYI for the aimgain kit today was day one and already have issues, not that they cant be fixed just wasn't ready for an issues so tedious. but we started with cutting the fender themselves.
-Wheels removal
-fender wells removed
-and fenders cut
* you do have to remove the side blinkers for a flush fitment http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...pswzhsyf9g.jpg
Tools used for fender cutting its important to keep a quarter inch at the bottom of the fender where it attaches to the skirt. There is a line up hole for the flair
http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...pse0k6yomz.jpg

edzilla123 05-01-2016 11:12 PM

so the issue was discovered when putting the flair on. I had been told via the sales man that it should fit a sport bumper, well obviously not. ive been told it will work with the same year nismo bumper. other then that option there is the second choice and thats to buy aimgains bumper at 2k plus and 8 months of wait.http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...psti6walsf.jpghttp://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...pssl2z6iz1.jpg

TonyZ34 05-02-2016 11:29 AM

Sorry to hear you have problems. I wouldn't justify to pay and wait that long and then arrive to having fitment issues like this going on :shakes head:

OptionZero 05-02-2016 04:17 PM

You should contact Wiggins3377

He has AIMGAIN bumpers for sale and he's located in Cinncinati, right around your corner i believe

The nismo bumper should work it follows the same body lines as the aimgain does for a much less i just need to find a doner 370 in chicago area to borrow there bumper for a few hours :rofl2:

Wiggins3377 05-03-2016 10:57 AM

I know I mentioned it to you on FB, but to convert the nismo bumper to the sport Z will cost north of $2000, if you do it right. Here are some threads:

Plus the lower lip on the Aimgain bumper looks better than the gigantic snowplow that is the pre '15 Nismo bumper. But thats just one guy's two cents.

id have to get a carbon lip for the nismo bumper, to keep the look so it should be smoother after that goes on

Wiggins3377 05-03-2016 11:47 AM

You'll end up saving money in the long run with the Aimgain ;)

You ever get your wheel setup ordered? Haven't heard from you since your IG message.
Looks like the build is in full swing, love it!

Unfortunately, the Aimgain and Nismo bumpers are similar, but have slightly different lines. I purchased Wiggins' Aimgain canards to mount on my Nismo bumper and they weren't even close to fitting. I'll be having a bodyshop take care of getting them on.
