Old and New School!
Seeing Matt's post inspired me :)
Here is one of my other Z's - a '79, that now sports a fully built/blueprinted 2.8 liter turbo motor, T66, standalone ecu, Recaro's, rollbar, AP 6 piston BBK, etc etc. I purchased the car originally in 1992, in 100% original condition with 82k miles for $800, and it was my daily driver through college. Since that time, I've upgraded everything and it's been an ongoing project. The last dyno was 594 whp a number of years ago. Since that time I've worked off and on towards upgraded the fuel system further, but the car rarely gets driven (embarrassed to say, I have not driven it since 2005!). All my focus has been on my 350Z over the last several years. Now that the 350Z is just about done, I'll be turning attention back to this soon! Sorry for the small pics for now....these were taken several years ago, so I have to try to find the bigger ones. They wear the plates Wangan (the S130) and Touge (the Z33) http://www.z1auto.com/images/twinz3small.jpg http://www.z1auto.com/images/twinz2small.jpg http://www.z1auto.com/images/WanganS130small.jpg http://www.z1auto.com/images/280zx3.jpg These were a couple years ago after a detail - she sits in this same spot as we speak, begging to be driven soon! http://www.z1auto.com/images/adamdastun280zxturbo4.jpg http://www.z1auto.com/images/adamdastun280zxturbo5.jpg http://www.z1auto.com/images/adamdastun280zxturbo3.jpg http://www.z1auto.com/images/adamdastun280zxturbo2.jpg http://www.z1auto.com/images/adamdastun280zxturbo1.jpg And my 350Z - NA goodness :) (engine pics are from 07 when I did the build..the car now sports a Cosworth manifold) http://cornerbalance.files.wordpress...ewengine11.jpg http://cornerbalance.files.wordpress.../gtspecbbq.jpg http://cornerbalance.files.wordpress...installed2.jpg http://www.z1auto.com/images/041.jpg crappy interior pic http://www.z1auto.com/images/adamnewpicsfeb11002sm.jpg |
My coworker says "Nice!!!" (the driver of the 280z in my pics)

Awesome Zs. Never seen those guages before, good job with the mounting!

Did I see a red 928 hiding back in the corner?
|
lol yeah - it's likely destined for a quick ebay sale sometime soon. I have zero interest in even trying to resurect it anymore

The first one I saw was a '72 model! Way back then, I fell in love with her. I never would've tought I'd have to wait 36 years to get one, and then a used one at that! They're too expensive down here, so I settled for an '04.5 Touring Coupe with just 13k on it. Sweet ride it's turned out to be! No feathering, no oil-cunsumption, no starting issues, no oil overheating problem, flawless AT. Great, reliable Sports car! Greetings, dudes!
