chopping the top of a car usually ends up in a bitchified version of the original, see, 3-series, boxsters, and g37, only a select few of cars can do it, mostly on the supercar end of the spectrum.

They have a roadster at one of my local Nissan dealerships. I thought it looked pretty good for a softtop. I'd still get the coupe though because I just don't want a convertible.

I can't see myself ever driving a convertible, except maybe the G37 convertible. That thing is sick! That way, I can have the coupe when I want it and bring the top down for weekend-cruising through town.

The only drop-top I could see myself driving is an AP1/2. You can always just buy a hardtop.

Me the Z4 or S2000 because they look good with the top up. The 370 & 350 only looks good with the top down.

If I'm not mistaken, this car was designed from the ground-up to be both a coupe and a convertible.

I think the Roadster is sweet.

Roadster is gorgeous, if I had the money it would be in my hands.

This comment obviously has no info behind it, b/c all the bracing from what I have read is the same in the coupe and they designed the car like this on purpose. Its not like the old one they had to add parts. The convertible just weighs more b/c of the motors and stuff for the soft top.

So sorry coupe guys, that argument takes you no where.
