I wonder if you can finish up with the carbon theme with the GT350R wheels of get a sponsorship with HRE for their CF wheels.

birdman71 01-14-2016 04:06 PM

Don't know how well Carbon Fiber wheels would handle under 1000+rwhp

The thing about carbon fiber wheels is they crack very easily. Motorcycle Riders experienced the same issue. HRE I believe has discontinued their full carbon fiber wheels due to this as well. They released a line back in 2012 but have since go away with the full carbon fiber line up due to several issues.

Carbon Fiber is weird.. It is indeed very strong but certain impact can cause it to break.

birdman71 01-15-2016 01:27 PM

I could see you putting these Carbon Fiber wheels on your Z and then as soon as you drop the clutch and the boost kicks in, all 4 wheels break just due to the sheer force put onto them haha :rofl2:

I know Carbon Titanium which is like Carbon Fiber just the silver isn't gray but more of an actual silver, its like 10x stronger and doesn't shatter like Carbon Fiber. The Pagani Zonda R has that for all Carbon Accents on theirs due to the durability and the lighter weight. Too bad it is also like 3-5x as much as Carbon Fiber as well.

400zTT has awoken!!! Final goodies arriving soon. Stay tuned! Shout out to Forged Performance. A lot of innovation went into this build which includes several Nissan GT-R performance parts. High Horse Power or Bust! (Goal for 1,300-1,400hp at crank, 1,100-1,200 rwhp) Building a car for high horse power is tough but doing it when parts have yet to be developed takes guts. Forged one up'ed it by integrating several high-end performance parts from Big Brother. The build list is quite impressive and the quality will speak for itself. No Copycat build here. Thanks again Sharif Abdelbaset and FP Crew.

Complete Build List will be posted soon with new Upper and Billet Lower Manifold :)

2016 is huge!

Spooler 02-08-2016 12:40 PM

Is it up and running yet?

Carbon_z 02-18-2016 05:53 PM

After a few long months of R&D and flow simulations, the long awaited GT-R conversion Billet Lower Manifold is another step closer to completion. RJM did their homework and didn't want to prematurely release a product without proven gains. Stay tuned for more details. The final part to CarbonZ build is almost here and I couldn't be more excited.

Video of the Billet Aluminum being cut :)

Carbon_z 02-21-2016 12:36 PM

Test fit of the CNC plastic model was a success. Billet Aluminum model fitting this coming week. Height clearance was important and as you can see is almost exactly the same height as the OEM lower manifold and oem plenuim.

Carbon_z 02-24-2016 09:53 AM

Well the blue is just the plastic cnc test piece. The link I posted above your post is the machine work being done on the billet.

( Click to show/hide )

do you plan on going with an aftermarket GT-R intake manifold?

feel like thats the best benefit of using a conversion lower is to go with the upgraded manifolds over a stock unit. i mean if you're going all out might as well go all the way.

AMS carbon fiber intake mani is sexy and as your name state (and whole car body) then CF is up your alley lol also gives you the option for a third fuel rail to help hit that 1000whp goal more easily. Forged sells them maybe they got one in stock they can sell you on lol

Carbon_z 02-24-2016 10:29 AM

Actually I am later this year. It's pricey lol. I want to get the car running and tested out first. Then get it ready for the wannagofast events (Half Mile Runs).

Are they going to smooth the outside of it, or leave it with all of the ribs?

bullitt5897 03-01-2016 10:02 AM

For now I think the outside is going to stay that way for both CarbonZ and my units. RJM has stated they will be reducing the effect of the tooling on the next batch of units. This weekend should be pretty exciting if all goes as planned... I know I am looking forward to it!

Carbon_z 03-01-2016 10:38 AM

Yea i spoke with RJM yesterday and should have the new rails completed this week as well. :)
