Last update of the season, we are reaching summer and the weather temps will rise from here onward.
I did two events, one AutoX and the other was a trackday, I got more feel about the suspension. On AutoX, I had 4 runs, I started it with a run with soft settings, the car was like a boat , stiffened the fronts with soft rears, it was tighter in front, but squats when I turn and accelerate, until I maxed the stiffness, and the car felt very tight and responsive, I have been in a very tough class, the class simply is any car with 2.5-3.7 engines NA or 1.6-2.5 FI, all other mods are open without restriction, many modified cars and luckily I got 3rd place. This is my best run Then before the track, I lowered the rear a little and re-aligned the car, went with -2.8 front and -1.85 rear, toe and caster the same as before, I returned the Nexens, and on the track I tried to feel the suspension rather than trying to get lap times, started with very soft rears and stiffened the rears, my front left fender was rubbing, with soft setting, the car was less likely to bounce, which I concluded that the issue was due to stiff setting, but while the car was putting the power well on exit, I felt the rear was too soft to my liking, it squats a lot which I felt sometimes it disturbs the weight shifting. I liked it more with stiffest setting, although it was bouncing, but it was putting the power efficiently, so maybe the track I attend is very smooth that I need to get stiffer rear springs, I will contact Josh to see what we can do, I think I will go to 9KG at rear (the stiffest he suggest for a car with aero) and no need to revalve the shocks. This is a short session from last track Some photos I got

Cool! The autox puts a very different stress on the car compared to Losail, and must ask for different settings like you describe.
How are your brakes holding up and what is your brake setup exactly? Keep posting! Marty Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G950F met Tapatalk

Yeah, Autox needs stiffer rears to get a very responsive rear, if you are smooth it will be quick in changing directions, the issue is, I am trying to get somewhere in the middle (between track and autox).
About brakes, currently I have Endless MX72 plus pads front and rear, Z1 2-piece rotors, Z1 ss lines, Z1 master cylinder, and stillen ducts. They are great at track, very predictable and great stopping power, but needs a little time to heat, which is a little troublesome at AX. I had XP10/XP8 before and I think they comes to temp quicker.

Recently, I sold my Charger SRT, so to have one fun car other than my suv, I opted to fix Z's ac, as we have very hot summer, I took it to a shop and the issue was a big leak in ac condenser, the one integrated in the radiator, so, I ended up with a new one, but this time I went with CSF.
My current stance for the summer, back to my ze40 with hankook v12 evo2 275/35/19 all around.

The last photos I took for the car. No updates during the summer, and I don't have any plans for it for next season, actually, the build will go on hiatus, I will only use it with new tires, this is all I have for it, or maybe not The reason is, I bought a new project car, that I will convert to a racing car, we have a local touring cars championship that I finally decided to enter, the regulation allows for 2000cc maximum engine size, so after looking at a lot of options, like 86s, s2k, hondas, clios, I finally bought a 2006 Acura RSX-S, although I wanted s2k, interior size after rollcage install isn't suitable for me. The car still in USA, fingers crossed until it got shipped to me. It has some front geometry issues to fix, but I like its style and I wanted something with a k20 engine.

yeah cv, those k20s are fantastic, and don't forget an LSD, it makes a big difference in fwd cars.
Jar, I only have dealer photos completely stock in Eternal Blue Pearl, I could save some cash if I went with a modified car, but at least I will know every bolt changed with this one (like my Z).

K tuned released some inverted tie rod ends a few years back. They help ENORMOUSLY with the steering angle issues that happens when you lower these.
Definitely worth a look. The last car i built before i bought the Z was a k swapped 05 civic sedan. LMK if you have any questions, i spent a helluva lot of time with this platform. |

Thanks a lot, I made research beforehand, and saw Mike Kojima video about the EP3, and talked to Evan from SHG about the setup. I will start with changing bushings, front PCI sphericals, rear will go with Prothane, then shg slider, and tie rod (either k-tuned or hardrace). This will be my starting point along with maintenance like changing timing chain and tensioner. I will not spend on power until I sort all suspension geometry.

Back to the track, getting my Nexens on the car, it was very hot and humid, over 90 F with over 80% humidity, a friend got his new Supra and brought it as well, his car reached 148C~298F within one lap, I added Boostane professional to my fuel so I don't face any knocking in this weather, and it did well with temps staying at 125C~257F after two laps.
