Finally getting my Z close to where I want it so I figure its time to start a build thread. I got my 09 manual back in 2012, after my Altima got totaled by a distracted driver while I was stopped at a light. I had never owned a sports car or a manual, and I thought it was about time I got something cool and not just practical. I was originally thinking a 350Z, mainly because I didn't know there was a 370Z, but after I learned the difference I had to get the 370Z.
I stumbled across this forum right when I bought my Z and within days I ordered my stillen gen 3 intakes. I had never modified a car, outside of the stereo, mainly because I never had a car that was worth modding. Little did I know how much I would enjoy it, and how addicting it would be. I have done 95% of everything myself and wouldn't have dreamed of tackling it if it weren't for all the awesome DIYs and info on this forum. Spent some quality time with my baby this morning. Installed some SPL rear traction arms, painted the vents on my new hood and removed the rain guard.

Well couldn't get my rear wheels completely in spec after my alignment yesterday, toe is out more than I'd like. I was thinking toe bolts, but didn't like the idea of drilling the hole bigger and relying on a washer to hold the toe arm in place, even though it would probably work fine for my uses. Since I already have SPL rear camber and traction arms, why not go for the trifecta, so I just ordered the SPL rear midlink and lockout bolts. Hopefully I can install it this weekend :). I've really learned a lot after getting under my car and working on my suspension this last month.

Just got my car back from the shop after getting rear ended. I was able to swing a Nismo bumper out of it. Dealership said it was the same price as the base so I said do it :)

Just ordered a carbon signal Nismo rear diffuser V1 (with the fog light) so I can re-install my Evo-R smoked fog light :)

Got the mid links and new springs installed and lockout bolts/washers on them and my camber arms. Took a lot longer than I thought, one of these days I'll let a shop do the work.

My rear diffuser finally came in today :). Hopefully I'll install it this weekend with my rear fog light. Quality looks awesome, I'll try and test fit it tonight.

Went to my first autox event last weekend, I had a blast. I'll definitely be doing that again soon. Here's a few pics. The GTR had me by about 3-4 sec. I'll be closer next time.

There's always more to be done! I also have an lsd still waiting to be put in... Sadly I'll have to drive with the open diff on Saturday. But I'll at least have it in by the next track event

Well car stalled on they highway today, made it down the road and stalled again, just got it towed to the local dealership. Code p0345 camshaft sensor, waiting to see what the dealership diagnostic and $$$ damage is :(

Nice build! Glad to see your actually making use of this great car by taking it to the track and not just hard parking it lol. Btw, if you ever wanna part with those fenders, I'd gladly buy them off of you :)

Also, what brand are those gauges in the pillar pods? They seem pretty close to oem colors- they look really good.

Looks like it was just a bad sensor, should be picking it up this morning.
