i just installed mine on Sunday, piece of cake, although I baked mine onto some ramps and while it was a tight squeeze towards the front, I was able to get everything in without an issue. I have to adjust the height of one with some washers.

As far as the heat shield goes, you don't have to cut anything. It's real flimsy tin so all you need to do is bend the corner about 45% away and its fine.

sound is intoxicating for sure!! haven't done any highway testing yet for drone though...but as you say, the car's interior is on the loud side to begin with...

^Good info about the heat shield and good suggestion about the ramps.

Sounds great, doesn't it?

Spent today installing some stuff. Was on the fence about installing the eibach springs but decided to go ahead and try them out. Along with the springs I installed rear camber arms purchased from thmotorsports, a sponser here. I decided to use a lift for this install so I got a chance to try out a local DIY shop here in town - pretty cool concept and a nice setup for DIYers without their own lift.

My buddy Tyler helped out today - thanks man!

Big difference between the OEM springs and the eibachs (these are the fronts)

Even with the lowering springs I'm happy to report that my F.I. exhaust doesn't scrape on my driveway as long as I take it an angle. Those used to lowered cars know to take dips at an angle but the first time I pulled out of my garage I just wasn't thinking about it. I've been carfeful since then and haven't scraped again.

I also installed Hotchkis sway bars, a big thanks to ChrisSlicks for his front & rear sway bars DIY threads - helped a bunch! +1 Rep

I'm going to get an alignment tomorrow - my car handles like crap right now with the alignment all thrown off. Any suggestions for alignment settings with this setup?

I must say, that DIY shop is pretty neat. I like that. What's the cost?

Their problem is not enough people have heard about them - you can see in the pix the shop is a little empty. It's a great concept and I really hope they make it. In this economy you would think people are hanging on to their cars longer and doing more maintenance, I just don't think enough people know about the place. They've been doing more advertising lately so hopefully things pick up, easy access to a lift for $15/hr. sure is convenient.

$15/hr. for the lift, $10/hr. more for unlimited access to their tools (basic tools included for free). $119 for the day which is what I did since I was doing a few things at once it took a few hours and I didn't have enough room in the Z to bring everything I needed (creeper, floor jack, air tools, etc. - all included).

Thanks fairlady!

I switched to my new summer wheels today, SSR Type F 18's in matte black. It's supposed to rain/snow tomorrow, if it doesn't I'll get some pics. I'm really happy with these wheels along with the drop.

Along with the wheel swap today I cleaned up some previous work (greased the sway bar mounts, re-torqued the front and rear suspension bolts - some bushings were squeaking most likely from overtightening). My wife and I had the day off together and she got a little camera happy so I thought I would share.

Halfway through the wheel swap. Which ones do you think look better?

When the wife does well at work she is sometimes rewarded with the company seats at the Jazz game. 12th row. I am constantly encouraging my wife to do well at work

Jazz win

Another Saturday of working on the Z and basketball...
