I think you aren't a true mechanic until I see your raw, cut-to-all-hell hands from going after a single fastner/bolt/whatever. But you got it, damn it.

Oh, and then you get PB Blaster/brake fluid/fuel all over your exposed wounds.

Been there done that, had the hands and arms, just not with a 4th Gen F-Body. The MGB did have some tight corners for some of the stuff I did. Rust was my enemy since it was Washington State in the late 70's. (salt) And the ex's Pinto. Then just building other peoples hot rods. I don't have the pics to prove it though. Gloves are the resolution for some of this. Think I may invest in a pair.

I have several pairs of work gloves, but I BELIEVE that space was extremely tight (enough that the gloves were catching on everything) and I needed tactile feedback while I was working on it at the time. That made gloves a non-option at the time.
