So I just got home from doing the install at a friends house. We started at 4, and quickly ran into issues. We managed to get the fronts swapped out in 4 hours after having to remove the camber arms (which is infinitely easier than reaching those 4 f***n' PITA bolts behind the rotors [which, by the way, wouldn't budge with any impact wrench using 400 ft/lbs]). Once we figured out the first one, the second one took 15 minutes. The rears I did by myself in less than 10 minutes.

I absolutely love the ride on swifts. I can't believe how much difference a .5" drop makes. I'm not sure I'd want to go any lower, as my camber is kind of on the border, and my sport rays with 20mm/25mm front/rear don't look as aggressive now.

I gotta thank the guy that typed up the DIY, and then make some suggestions for when things inevitably don't go according to plan.

Tomorrow I'm going to knock out the camber arms and toe bolts.

Thank you to everybody here that suggested I do the install myself. Over the course of this weekend I'll have saved close to $500 in labor!

Thank you!

After seeing the car in daylight, I'm DEFINITELY going to need to put the camber arms/toe bolts on. The camber looks borderline hilarious. I'd take a photo, but my iphone is acting up and wont take pictures. I'm sure it's purely coincidental that I'm eligible for an upgrade as of yesterday.... f****** verizon.

The ride still feels awesome, and it doesn't pull to the left or right. I hit a huge bump at around 35 mph this morning and it scared the sh*t out of me. I can guarantee that the fronts are seated properly after that

The springs made no noise and tracked straight the rest of the ride into work.

I would suggest that anyone who wants to do this mod in the future please do yourslef a favor and get some mechanix gloves. I forgot mine and my hands look like they lost a fight with a cheese-grater

The first thing my Pops taught me about working on cars was when you start, just go ahead and cut yourself and then stick it in the greasiest spot you can find and get it over with because its going to happen anyway.

What is a reasonable price to pay in our market for HFC install?

I don't know for a fact, but if I had to guess on average, probably $200-$300..
