FWIW the PSS is going to look a little meatier. Both front Re11 and PSS have a 271mm section width, but the PSS with it's square shoulders has a full 10mm more measured tread width than the RE-11 (254 to 243ish).

The rear is similar. Roughly the same section width but the Super Sport has a measured tread width of around 285mm to the RE-11's 265ish.

Now, there is no standard for measuring tread width, but this all means the PSS should be visually wider than the RE-11, all thanks to the square vs. round sidewall.

This has given me some food for thought...My fronts are getting pretty low(3-4/32)...luckily im not driving the car so its not a concern but I am wondering if 275 is too much up front. The plan was to rotate me still meaty rears to the front and put either 275s or 305s in the rear. I just couldn't find much info on anyone with stock rays running 275/305. I would love to run 4 18x10.5 RFP1s or SA55Ms.

I'm gonna do tires in the spring. Not going to bother right now. Going to want the widest I can fit on those stock nismo rays.

You can run a 275/35 up front without an issue. That's the maximum recommended width for a 9" wheel and it works really well. The car will definitely benefit from running more tire up front.

If you are still on the Potenzas you can fit a 305 RE050A on the stock rear wheels.

Probably 285/305 to keep you in spec.

PSS is a great choice. That's what I'd go with.

They had a $70 rebate promotion that ended yesterday. I'm sure it will be back in another month or two.

Cool beans! im looking at moving my Vreds up front then temporarily for sure...Hate running different tires. Then getting PSS 305's for the rear. This is going to be one meaty setup holy crap.

I probably wouldn't try the PSS on a 10" rim. They run way wider than anything else.

Dai and I were looking up reference material yesterday and he found this: michelin pss lots of pics 305 30 19 and 265 35 18 weight and fit - Corvette Forum

It pretty much confirmed our suspicions that the PSS is super wide and is probably going to perform like poop when a 305 is mounted on a 10" rim. 10.5" would be in spec, but even on a 10.5 it's going to be super meat. 10"... no way.

The Re11s run narrower and will work, though.

For reference, this is a 275/35 on 19x9:

Meat.

I've found that with PSS, under 295 the sidewall is a little more rounded, but above 295 it *really* starts to square off. That's when you get the 295s fitting more like a 305 and the 305s more like a 315-320.

Whaaaaaa?

Maybe ill look at 295/285s. I really want PSS tires for the bump in treadwear over the RE11s.

Seriously good info. Glad I posted before I bought anything.

I hear ya. If you are OK with running a shorter tire you can pull off a 295/30 on the rear. Since you are lowered it wouldn't look bad at all. Something like 265/35 and 295/30 would work with a front/rear diameter difference of -1.3% (stock is -.5%).

Yeah I would have preferred the 305 in the rear because of it being closer to the stock size.

This has been quite handy lately Tire size calculator

Any who that 265/295 setup would be quite nice I think.
