Dee, I think you are confused still... To stay "On topic" in any MAZOC thread is important. By being "Off Topic" in the Official "Off-Topic" thread, then Randy was indeed following the MAZOC rules.

The way I joke here is exactly how I joke with my gay friends.

There can be multiple definitions for a word. The term in question can be attributed towards that of being happy, being homosexual, or the way we attribute it for humor.

Taking offense in itself is a 'politically correct' action, as it denotes there are no other ways the word may be attributed.

Its the same situation when people get offended when people refer to something as retarded. No one actually hates or gives ill will to those with a mental disability, but the word does not have to be "owned" by a single definition.

Most people know when, how and why a word is used within a specific context.
