i want to light it on fire personally.

maybe some tannerite and my assult rifle. that would be fun.

not even a big batch to kill it quicky. i'm talking small batches to inflict wounds until death :stirthepot:

I can't believe I'm typing this... I'm putting the Z up for sale. Going a completely different direction. Not even a sports car. I'll be putting up some pictures in the forum "For Sale" section, but I wanted to announce it here first.

( Click to show/hide )
Brief write up on the Z:

2010 Sport Touring, Manual transmission, Black Cherry. ~86,000 miles. Five trips to ZDAYZ will add some miles, but it has been driven. I am the only owner, and it has been serviced at Brown's Nissan. They are familiar with the car. In true disclosure, it has been driven on the track (without incident). Clean CarFax can be provided.

Tastefully upgraded:
KW V3 Suspension
SPL Toe kits front and rear
Z1 34-row oil cooler
Z1 Power Plenum Upgrade
UpRev License cable with a Z1 designed tune
Takeda Cold Air Intake
NISMO (off a 2013 NISMO) CBE
Short throw shifter
PTuning license plate relocation kit and camera mount
Powder coated Rays wheels
Comes with a spare Black Cherry bumper

Looking to get around $19,000 for it.

( Click to show/hide )
I will also have some extra parts for sale:
A set of Ray's factory wheels and tires (with TPMS)
Jim Wolfe Pop Chargers
Z1 MAF tubes

That's about the price of a good used mini van eh?
Seriously. Hope you have fun in the new direction.

I ordered a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk so we can go off-roading with a reliable DD. I guess I just needed a change. Maybe I'll have another Sports car in a few years. Should be fun!

Yea, I didn't really see it coming until after my Achilles surgery either. Since I have not been able to drive the Z since mid-August, and I bought a winter beater (automatic 1998 Jeep Cherokee limited), I've enjoyed driving an SUV again. It has to many miles (353,000) for me to trust it for back country trails, so I want to get something more reliable and capable. Google "Trailhawk" and "Moab" to see how capable it is. It is impressive. The one I've ordered looks like the one below.

MightyBobo 10-22-2014 10:07 PM

I know how capable they are. It's a love-hate styling, but I kinda like them.

Man, that had to be a little crushing with the heel surgery...

MightyBobo 10-22-2014 10:08 PM

And maybe I'll join you next year :-p. Ill be getting one of the new diesel Canyons.

Yea, I probably need to re-evaluate my pricing, but my 86k miles hurts me a little bit. I'll post the car on this forum and several on-line sources as well. I hope to give it a good home.

I wasn't going to say anything, by I think 19k is...extremely optimistic for that. I'd probably look closer to 15-16. Your car though!

As a tow vehicle? Turning the Z06 into a track beast?

Those trucks do look pretty good.

eastwest2300 10-23-2014 02:29 PM

Yup nice purchase.. congrats on that man.

So the Hummer wasn't too far off.

I still have my 4WD truck. A 2002 Dodge Dakota with the 4.7L V8. I need to replace the xfer case but it's still fun. Only 140,000 on it. I had it out in the Utah back country trails in Canyon Lands. Fun stuff. I don't go rock crawling but hey... still fun.

It's all about :driving:. I was originally thinking of a Rubicon before I bought the Z.

I already have a 2008 Silverado 1500. Just haven't towed lately.

I wouldn't get another truck unless it has the ability to tow the car, so yes, that was one of the criteria. :-)

Dead quiet in here the past week.

I have a metric sh1t-ton of work to get done this weekend. I'm off to Blizzcon on Wednesday (Metallica wut?), and I get back in late Sunday night. My track day is down at VIR the Tuesday immediately after, so I need to head out early Monday morning to get there in time to meet my friends and tech in.

Which means everything has to be done before Wednesday, which includes swapping on my stainless steel lines and flushing the fluid, along with an oil change. Plus, I need to pack all my tools/clothes/everything else up for the track, charge all my GoPro batteries, etc etc...

Bleh.

jpkirk 10-31-2014 10:10 AM

Oh... an extre 204.6 lbs of sh!t.

Sounds like great fun in store for you this weekend. I, on the otherhand, have honey do's. But, since it's supposed to be raining all day tomorrow anyway, I think the Z will just stay in the garage and I can do some cleanup in the house. Wheeeee!

I've been doing house stuff up the wazoo lately. Painted and refinished my downstairs bathroom, installed a new dishwasher, fixed my bedroom ceiling fan. I've been a busy boy.

jpkirk 10-31-2014 11:50 AM

Ooo. You are much more industrious than I. The most I have done in the last month is the dishes, take out the garbage, and get rid of the dead rat stinking up the garage.

b1adesofcha0s 10-31-2014 02:53 PM

I'm planning on sealing my driveway concrete at some point in the near future.

jpkirk 11-01-2014 02:19 PM

I have big plans for the driveway. Itsa gonna grow.

dmhenderson 11-01-2014 04:51 PM

On the dyno today for the last time. Results forthcoming. Tank has been drained and filled with ethanol - here we go...

Bedroom fan fixed (receiver was junk, but another problem was a lack of dimmable lights). New LEDs and a new receiver and all is well.

Oil changed on the truck (don't even need to lift that thing lol. Just squirm under it.).

Tomorrow, change the oil and brake fluid in the Vette, and throw on my blank front rotors.

chieuxuan 11-01-2014 06:39 PM

Rob, have fun down there and be safe

Mr. VTAK... :hello:

whats up bro?

MightyBobo 11-02-2014 09:25 PM

Weather was awful - windy and cold. Garage pays off yet again. Swapped the rotors and brake lines on within a few hours. Those clips that hold the soft lines to the brackets where the hard lines connect are my nemesis. I absolutely detest them...

Still need to get the new fluid in there yet, but that'll be tomorrow or Tuesday. I have a power bleeder so it shouldn't take 30 minutes...

Those tires might be more akin to bricks if it's too cold. Check temps have fun and as noted above, be safe

Just need to take the time to warm them up. Ive raced in the cold/rain before. It's still not quite as good as when it's warm, but it isnt far off.
