Plenum and HFCs are waiting for install. Area Z shops are a bit backed-up, but soon I'll be able to pass the neighbor's '70 L48 quicker than a 7 layer burrito.

I'm sorry, but that graph looks hilariously simplistic and incorrect. What is the source?

I'm sure some oil cooler conglomerate bent on international domination developed it. But, it passed all the peer-review hurdles needed to get published on the interwebs so it must be right.

I agree completely. I'm pretty sure that there wasn't a lot of empirical data that went into this one. The problem is that if we limit ourselves to fact-based posting, there are many fewer opportunities to make our presence known.

I think it's a graph USA Today would be proud of.

Maybe Fox News as well. But USA Today might want a little more infographic action going on.

Elephant Racing | Tech Topic | Oil Temperature and Engine Life

Hey look! someone selling oil coolers! :icon17:

I do like that chart better as it leaves the mileage out. I've never had a car engine die on me, the rest of the car always dies long before the engine goes. However, this is the first sports car I've owned so maybe I will kill the engine sooner than the rest of the car.

Thanks guys! It's right down the street from Marley Station mall in Glen Burnie. Get the keys on the 27th and then it will be a mad rush to get all this DIY work done and then get everything moved in. Gotta put an epoxy coating on the garage floor; do the in-wall wiring for my surround sound system; paint some rooms; and frame/hang an interior door. After that I need to actually move in all our stuff.

Glad to hear you're finally moving out of PG county, congrats!

eastwest2300 05-03-2014 07:16 PM

big congratulations blades, you deserve it bro. buying a house is some big boy sh1t...kudos to you bro!

MightyBobo 05-04-2014 06:26 AM

So my car will be sold today, be it to one buyer or another. One guy is (literally) racing down here from Jersey, to beat a local to the deal who is offering me less.

Not much is more insulting to me, than coming up $500 short on my best offer, and thinking that giving me a deposit of $100 (seriously, only $100, on a $20000 car?) will make me take your deal. If you're so serious about wanting my car, you can find that $500 in your pockets, and match the deal.

They're building that area up like crazy. One of my good friends and his family lives back there in Tanyard springs. I'm assuming you're talking about one of the new places off of Marley Neck Blvd?

If you want any help with wiring or the garage floor just holler! I've got pretty good recent experience with both. For the epoxy flooring, when they say the concrete should feel like fine grit sand paper, they mean it! My floor is peeling like crazy where I park. You'll have it a lot easier since you wont have 20+ years of dirt already caked in.

Yeah that is the area. My house is in the Stonehouse Run community, which is like an extension of Tanyard Springs. I have access to all of the amenities at Tanyard Springs.

The thing I'm worried about most is the wiring, so I may take you up on that offer. It will be my first house DIY project. Never done anything with drywall or running wires behind a wall. Only issue is I'd have to do it during the week and before the weekend. If I could get your help with it, that would be awesome.

Drive and Go-Kart event this weekend

MAZOC,

PM me if you are interested in attending a "Drive and Kart" event this Saturday. I am leading a drive with PowerShift, a group of car enthusiasts from my church. Don't worry, this is a car event, not a church one... We will be meeting in the morning, between 9:00 and 10:00, driving on some fun Loudoun roads and then out to Summit Point Kart track for some fun Go Karting. Follow that with lunch if you are interested. Should be done with the event before 3:00. Like I said, PM me for details!

Michael
