Yes. Kirkster is running the same SC kit I will be running and he's had no issues. I will need a new clutch sooner or later but cross that bridge when I come to it.

Well the issue with FI'd Z's isn't really about makinh the power, it's putting that power down to the ground. I haven't really payed much attention to FI builds in a while, but from what i saw traction used to be the big issue. 500 whp is cool, but useless if the wheels are just spinning.

I didn't think he was pushing 500 though

This is true but its all about driver control. And 90% of the FI guys seem to drag and not track so from a stand still the Z sucks. But Ecutek will change a lot of that with LC and TC.

My directive to GTM was 500-550 so we'll see when it goes in I guess. New wheels may be a thing I have to do eventually but I'm avoiding it if at all possible

From what I understand, the Z has the same issue big 'vette builds do in terms of launch under high torque. We'll have to wait and see.

Werd. TC will be even more important/helpful if you're gonna track it.

Why? I assume you want heavier?

This is true but its not all about having your foot mashed to the floor. But ecutek should have that out soon as well as boost by gear and torque by gear which will be a game changer. I saw they just developed boost off the line control for the GTR...

Yeah, the z and vette are very similar in terms of driving dynamics. I could see that.

These features they're trying to market off of the GTR are all well and good. But at the end of the day, we don't drive a GTR, we don't have the GTR powerplant, and we don't have the GTR drivetrain. :ugh2:

I just hope people don't get let down when their car doesn't act like a GTR after having all of these "GTR like" tuning features.

I just wish the 370Z was more like the 700Z :icon17:

Because I kinda blew my car budget on the supercharger, supporting mods and install and a new set of nice wheels (volks/advans/vossens) + tires is going to run me at least +2-3k assuming I sell my old wheels and I really like those wheels.

No we don't but it all trickles down. Why not take super car features and add them to a Z? Supercar like Z sounds pretty nice. Add boost and have the stability to go with it. Sounds like a winner. Ecutek is a huge platform though. Everything they learn from the other markets usually gets shared across the board. Its not like Uprev. They have a huge support base of cars. Hopefully it grows well into the vq market.

I understand the good sides, but I don't think people are being realistic in what they can expect from an NA Z.

Having LC isn't going to make your Z jump off the line like a GTR. :icon14:
