So I sprung for a quaife LSD + seals and bearings. Some random on facebook said I should "Swap pumpkins" with a guy who has an AT VLSD "for the more favorable final drive gear ratio (3.3:1)"

Anything to this? Does the AT have a final drive gear with a better ratio or something? This doesn't make much sense to me.

RZ, Doesn't the manual have the 3.69 FD gear? Which is "better" for the Z, which pushes them to go for the 4.08 gear? But I guess that's mainly for drag cars right?

So any thoughts on the bearings/seals? Any reason I should replace? Someone (I forget who) had told me I need to when I do the LSD swap but didn't say why. I mean the car is less than 2 years old.

Best practice is to replace the bearings and seals. You can reuse, but since you're going to be in there anyway, you should just go ahead and replace them. Especially since the car is two years old now.

I took the Z out yesterday while it was snowing. Only 1-2 inches of snow/slush/slop in the road but it was fine.

Today the roads were pretty clear so there were no issues. I left a little later in case there was some icing.

I'm the only one not in the office. But I also live farthest away. Didn't want to deal with any potential traffic ******** if we actually got a lot of snow. Doesn't look like much, though.

It was bad this morning but roads are totally clear now. Half the accumulation they were calling for in MD.
