Oh hey I got my account back. So 50/50 shot I'll have the car back by this weekend. Will wholly depend on when parts come in.

Got the car back! Helped Frank clean off deer guts so I could take it home tonight. It was indeed gross.

Tire pressure light came on as soon as I got into town. Started raging and pulled into a filling station and they were all low. Temperature I guess.

The Zspeed undershroud is very slick looking. Only downside is that my oil filter was relocated during the SC install so the nifty oil change hatch thingy is useless but I have a vent and more protection down there so I'm happy.

They are a Scottish electro-pop band. I like them. Everyone I know, including the wife, does not. :bowrofl:

Hey R/T Tuning has some pretty crazy black friday deals. Wasn't going to post about any of them here but now they are offering 35% off all Stoptech brake pads, calipers and rotors. Pretty insane. I'm gonna grab my spring brake pads now.

As soon as I read, "electro-pop" I figured they would suck. So, I went and listened to a song, "The Mother We Share" and I like it. Kind of reminds me of Roxette, same single female vocal with the synth accompanying.

Thats actually old school spelling of the letter "U". :hello:

m4a1mustang 11-30-2013 07:33 AM

They also did it for Google. Much easier to search for band specific info with the V instead of a U.

eastwest2300 11-30-2013 07:44 AM

more like euro pop.

Thanks steve..

b1adesofcha0s 11-30-2013 06:12 PM

I love me some electro/euro-pop, but not a fan of Chvrches.

dmhenderson 11-30-2013 06:13 PM

I bit on that Quaife LSD after talking to you guys today and went with Hawk brake pads rather than the Stoptech pads. Oh btw, R/T is selling Hawk for 30% off as well

m4a1mustang 11-30-2013 06:17 PM

Oh god... cancel the Hawk order. TURRIBLE!!!!

(Assuming they are HPS)

I love 'em. Lauren Mayberry is delightful.

RT2S2 whatever that means. They're carbon or something. I thought someone here was running them and loved them...? Should I switch back to Stoptech? I was under the impression that Hawk was sturdier.

m4a1mustang 11-30-2013 06:34 PM

Without knowing which model hawks they are I'm not sure. I know from experience the HPS suck... terrible bite. No experience with Stoptech. I am a big fan of Ferodo DS2500 on the street. Aggressive street pad that will stand up to everything I can do at ZDayZ.

dmhenderson 11-30-2013 06:52 PM

Anyone else here have anecdotal brakepad opinions? Would be helpful.

jlw2546 11-30-2013 07:11 PM

Hawk HP Plus for track are great. Not for street though. They squeak and dust a lot. The squeak will stop if u get them hot enough but you will never keep them hot enough using them on the street. HP Street are decent street pads. The also dust quite a bit but if u want a good stopping pad that's what you will have to deal with.

m4a1mustang 11-30-2013 07:18 PM

I hate the HPS because they have no bite or pedal feel. I feel like the stock Akebono pads are better to be honest.

Stoptech makes pretty high quality stuff. $5000 bbk anyone? Anyone ever used their stuff?

m4a1mustang 11-30-2013 07:28 PM

They do indeed. I've never used their pads, though.

You're the second person I've heard poo poo the Hawks. I've ran them (HPS+) on the Z now for four years and they work just fine for street driving. Granted I don't drive with them every day but they work fine for me (YMMV) with a couple of track days (until I swapped to Carbotechs for the track) and also for use at ZDayZ.
