I'll bring it down the next FFX meet I'm at. Next weekend I'll be out of town so it will be few. It goes in for clear bra and tinting on Wednesday. If I do anything to it, I'll likely just go with a CAI, Exhaust and Cobb AP, dyno tune. That should make it go a bit more but not overboard. I say that now but who knows down the road. :bowrofl:

Dee were on for Saturday homie! Pat and I are glad you are coming up. Im hoping to have my WSS/ABS issue fixed so I can take you for a spin in the Z.

Also for anyone else who cares...or doesn't...IDGAF. Motor swap on the Legacy GT was a 100% success. The thing is a beast. Feels faster than the Z stock...kinda made me sad.lol Anyways the VF48 STI turbo is already installed. Probs doing full exhaust and uppipe this month. So much for a stock DD :/ Already threw new tires and breaks on it.lol

#moneypitnumber2

Also after seeing someone have similar tuning issues on their FI Z like me I am waiting to get the Z inspected(What a chore) and then heading to RT Tuning before the end of the year. Should see near 5000whp then...maybe more if I run 10psi.

eastwest2300 11-03-2013 09:39 PM

Im ready sir, the Z is topped off with fuel, Im gonna make a check list to make sure, I don't forget nothing.. Im looking forward to putting in some wrench time and checking out the Z and the subie!

dmhenderson 11-03-2013 09:56 PM

You're expecting a bump from 400whp to over 500 from a tune?

Yeah. No boost leak plus a good tune plus going from 8psi to 10psi.

dmhenderson 11-04-2013 06:01 AM

I'd have RT smoke test it. That's what I did.

I was over at Hill's today. Car dyno'd at 495.4 whp with the new pulley. Frank says it has another 20-30hp in it but he doesn't want to push it especially in cold weather.

(The pulley size made a huge difference)

Is there a preferred MAZOCian window tint place in or around Alexandria?

P.S. Like many things automotive (or otherwise really) I know very little about wind-er tintin'; any suggestions welcomed.

I use to tint windows when I was down in Tallahassee, but don't know any shops around here, sorry bro.

m4a1mustang 11-17-2013 07:24 PM

I don't know about Alexandria but I can recommend Contour Tint in Chantilly.

Can't offer any shops up but some advice is to remove the window seal inside the door before taking it in. It'll save you a headache later if the shop doesn't get the tint far enough down. Real easy job.

1. Remove the door panel
2. Remove the seal
3. Install door panel and reset the window switches
4. After 3-4 days, reinstall the window seal

Removing it gives the tinter plent of room to shove a couple extra inces of tint down below so the auto-down/up doesn't wreck it before it cures.
