[MAZOC] Skyline Drive Trollolol Cruise - April 6,2013
 

So Next Saturday, April 6th our good ol' buddy Cristobal is leading a cruise with his Veloster Turbo buddies up Skyline Drive. Steve and I thought it would be great to trolllololol join them for some fun.

Starting point is:
Harris Teeter parking lot
7910 Crescent Park Dr
Gainesville, VA 20155

Plan to meat around 9:30am for a 10am departure.
From Harris Teeter we will go down 29, through Warrenton to 211. This would be an EXCELLENT place to gas up as its the cheapest gas around at the 7-11. From there we will head down 211 to Skyline Drive. After getting onto the mountain, and going through the toll booth ($15), we WILL get spread out so we will stop at the Panorama right there on the right after the toll booth. (Basically you turn left at the fork in the road, then go about 500 feet and its right there). After we get everybody together, we can get in some group shots. From there we will make the trek over to Skyland Resort for a nice lunch. We will stay there a couple hours, then head down to Big Meadows. We will kill some time here and check out some scenic trails before headed back to Skyland Resort for Dinner (for those who want to do so). Afterwards, we will head back up Skyline and get back onto 211 and make our way to our respective homes.

Also, PLEASE be respectful and courteous to the Veloster Turbo group. Yes, yes I know this is a trollolol cruise but don't act like douches to fellow motoring enthusiasts.

Unfortunately I will be unable to attend this event. I do hope you all have a great cruise though and somebody takes photos (I suspect Steve will have his camera gear). Be safe and no tickets you guys!

got ya.. it seemed like most of the people that go to the meet are going on the cruiz.. no biggy ill hit the next one u have.. hopefully ill have some mods done by then.. broke 300 miles yesterday on our mini meet up in reading..

I'm thinkin' about it. I've owned the Z for 11 months now and have yet to participate in a cruise. Looking at the map, Gainesville isn't too gawd-awful far, so I may have to do this...

Cruises are fun.

It's quite a thing to be in a procession of similar cars on a nice day on beautiful roads.

I should just change the name of my cruise to a Z cruise...with VT's, since the VT guys are dropping like flies for this cruise..

Just as long as you all know this is not a high speed cruise we should be fine.

Go YOLO and get the Z06, and then come to the cruise. Then instead of MAZOC it could be MACOC.

No no, before yesterday I had two in one day back out. So that leaves us with 7 or so VT's. Since I posted up about you all coming, I havent heard anything from them. But that forum is pretty quiet to begin with.

Do it, but problem is youll have to pay an extra 15 bucks to get onto the drive with another car.

I'm more worried about her horrendous driving skills....

Seeing as how you have been to the last 2-3 VA meets back to back we are starting to suspect you care less and less about gas prices now. :tup::bowrofl:

Free food this weekend helped to offset his gas purchase. :bowrofl:

I think he is just starting to realize he enjoys driving his Z. To hell with gas prices, he'll have 20k on his car before the end of the year!

OK, so it looks like from GVille we're taking 29 to 211 to Skyline south. We'll have lunch at Skyland then drive to Big Meadows, were we will all frolic around in nature for some amount of time. Then we will drive back to Skyland for dinner then head out on 211 to get to our respective homes.
