It's not my choice. I will be in the beginner level until the instructor thinks I'm good enough to move up. Probably won't be going till fall at the earliest.

Generally no, New instructor every time. You can TRY to request an instructor, but no guarantees.

Do they keep a record of how many times you've been there before? Or is that for you to tell them when you get there?

Is this based on 3 weekends in relative proximity, or would the fact he does one every 6 months count still?

Funny story. At one point on Sunday in between sessions my instructor came up to me and said I'd be good to move up to HPDE-3, which is the solo group. He had me confused with someone else apparently. I didn't think I was THAT good

They gave me a log book for the instructor to write down notes on after every HPDE event. I was told that they look at your past HPDE's in your log book and then basically have an instructor ride with you and test your skills. If they think you're good enough to move up, then they will let you do it.

Oh God, I'm no instructor. Instructors have **** tons more seat time than me.

They keep a record of your sessions with them I'm guessing, but usually when you register, it's asked how many events you have done.

3 weekends cumulative. Regardless of time between.

I know you're not a badged instructor, but you're much more skilled/knowledgeable than I. However, I know you and am comfortable with you, and you do have more knowledge than me. But that's just personal preference.

That's cool that its cumulative like that.

It's more about being good enough to move up to the next level than just how many weekends you've done. People learn at different paces, some faster and others slower.

I heard that if you get to the solo level with the Summit Point events, you can rent out the track for like ~$200 a person for a half day I think.
