I didn't bump anyone either. I wanted to bump. :(

Masa 04-29-2013 10:32 PM

I bumped two people and was driving aggressive. No black flag for me either.

Slide job

I definitely see HPDE in my future. Most likely in the fall.

Good for you :) Keep me posted if you have questions.

I was super aggressive but never got to bump anyone. I did force some 3 wide moves in T1 that probably shouldn't have worked, but did.

No more HPDE's planned for a while. Maybe in the fall.

The problem with Indoor tracks is they will most likely be Electric karts, and although its 100% torque instantly, tracks are usually shorter, cars are OFTEN governed, and the weight factors you fatties are complaining about, is even More prevalent. :p But I'd still be up for going.

Precisely. And you met and exceeded the limits of the kart, so this really is the same as an off-track excursion doing the real deal. In that situation, you'd be made to come back in to the pits, too. So I feel the black flag in this situation is appropriate.

Now, I don't know what others were getting flagged for - I'd love to see footage from someone who DID get flagged, like Josh, but he had no camera. I CAN tell you, however, that I was driving quite aggressively in my traffic management, and I never even got a hint of a black flag, so aggressive driving wasn't it. I never once bumped another car, nor did I ever lose control of my car.

Ok, well then why didn't I get black flagged when I couldn't avoid hitting Dana when she spun out? I actually made contact with another car that time... Hmmm

Yeah I don't have any experience with any of the indoor tracks around here.
All the ones I have been to were back out west in CA. Those indoor karts were gas not electric.

I'm sure they deemed that unavoidable contact.

T1/T2 were PRIME passing opportunities. As was the long T3, because there were SO many lines for that corner!

That is a bit different. She spun, you didnt. I was following a steady, relatively predictable line, and you spun out behind me trying to do an early turn-in to overtake me. If there's one VERY dangerous move to do in racing, it's a hot, early turn-in.

It was just bad. That's all.

I think this was the basis for some of the frustration. Spinning and hitting the tires are potentially dangerous, but so is bumping. If you got bumped and then spun out or hit the wall, you could get a black flag. I guess that's just life, though. Some stuff gets called, some stuff doesn't. We just gotta enjoy the times it doesn't. ;)

I was following your line, we got to the traffic sooner than expected. I wasn't going to cut in on you when we already had traffic to get around.

Yep I did a lot of passing there. T1 was a little difficult to setup with the little kink before the braking zone, but still doable. More often than not I would set people up by getting a killer run off 2 then making it no contest into 3. A good pass starts on corner exit :)

9 and 15 worked pretty well too.
