Bump!

I know what the right thing to do is but I guess I need someone else to tell me to do it. My best friend's son's 1st birthday party is on the 27th from 3-6pm. If I went karting I wouldn't make it to the party until probably 5pm. I'm pretty much the only one that goes to their parties that's not married and/or has kids. Maybe I should just be straight up with him and ask if he is going to be offended if I show up late? I could offer to help clean up and we could actually hang out afterwards. What should I do? I wanna go karting!

Personally, I'd just ask him as you mentioned. I'd think he'd understand especially if you were still going to make it to the party later. Thats just my two cents since you asked.

Khoi, I received a reply that we'll be using the 390cc karts. They are the 13HP karts. It was explained to me that its difficult to qualify to drive the 250CC karts. I guess those are a lot more powerful.

:iagree: Just ask if that would bother him, and express a sincere interest in spending quality time with him and his family. I've got a similar situation with my best friend and her son, and she knows I love them, even if I don't enjoy the kiddie brouhaha of a birthday party.

I'm confused on this as well. My best guess here is that the 390cc are 4 stroke and the 250cc are two stroke engines which might make the 390cc slower?

True, if 250cc two stroke, it will be way faster than 390cc 4 stroke because the direct fire of the 2 stroke engine
