Still makes no sense, racial differences or not. If their name isn't on the bill, what value does their opinion weigh? None. That's just like ours when we do a mod most others don't agree with.

This has nothing to do with culture, this has to do with self-reliance and will power.

Just like with everything else, this is 'merica. You can have both. :tup: Family is there for support when needed, but you're your own person. So you make the decisions.

Family is huge in most all Asian cultures. Everyone works together to support the familial unit. This means, on most things, the family has a say in the actions of the individual.

So, this has nothing to do with will power or self reliance and everything to do with cultural norms. :)

Just becuase this is 'merica doesn't mean you abandon your culture completely.

Gonna have to let this one go. It doesn't make sense why you let others run your lives to me, but I do not want to come off as insulting you/your family/your culture. So I will stop here.
