I'd like to be involved with choosing the date for the next karting event. :p

So I forgot to turn on the GoPro for my first session today. Then my instructor drove my car with me in the passenger seat in the advanced group. He wanted to show me the proper line, how to be more smooth with my inputs, how to look ahead at the apexes, etc. Was gonna turn on the GoPro when he got on the grid, but he went straight onto the track. That was the group where my car was passed by a Z06, 911 GT3, 911 Turbo S, and even one of the new-gen Cayman S. Yes I know that missing all this was an epic fail on my part :(

Video of my 2nd session from today is uploding right now. Gonna work on editing and uploading session 3 and tomorrow's sessions after I get back home tomorrow.

Pat and I had a great day yesterday at Summit Point! We will definitely have to do this again. We just got back into the metro area and stopped in town for a bit (Pick Up Filipino food) before headed into Maryland. I will get my video and photos up later today.

So I left the go pro at home and got a speeding ticket (60 in a 45) 15 mins from the track :|

Probably gonna skip my last session today and leave at 1 instead of 5:30.

Sadly, I accidentally switched my GoPro to picture mode before the big race, so I have approximately 0 seconds of footage of that. But, I got our other 2 main sessions (no practice one).

No one ever did and I've never had an issue with it before. It was right when the highway ends and you get into that town. Speed limit goes from 60 to 45 and I was still going 60. Stupid thing is that it doesn't even say how much the fine is.

Idk if it's even worth going to court for. I don't have any PTO days to take a day off from work and go to WV. Will the points I get in WV transfer to MD? Potential insurance increase is the only thing I'm worried about.

Well the GoPro camera survived it's ordeal. The suction cup mount was a total loss, but a quick trip to BestBuy has remedied that. And picked up the handlebar mount for the new InCar AK cheap mount I've fabbed up. (Just gotta wait for the rain to move out to paint it).

I checked the SD card and it did record the first 3 laps of the first heat of the day. Although you just see it falling off, then nothing. There was no footage of the other person hitting it. Gonna order a new case for it from gopro so hopefully that should be in before ZDayZ.

I got my case through Best Buy, however, that is the newest version. Check Amazon.com. If you can find a seller with Prime, I have that, and you can just PayPal me the money. Regardless, you'll CERTAINLY have it before ZDayZ...

I used my curved sticky mount on my helmet today w/ Shado, works dandy.

Next time we do it we are gonna weigh in and get the appropriate ballast for our karts. The racing will be close then. :)

Mine would be the most boring video ever. Creeping up close to Cwiz in the corners, then watch him put a gap on the straight. Rinse and repeat for 10 laps. :|

Would be fun to do a longer ~50 lap race.

actually dee - this was my first time.
and I came in 11th in the final list...

there were a couple turns that i just couldn't get on the right line - and those carts were very unforgiving when you lost rpms..
