You were there? So was I, with my son! Since we've been the first two years, I feel obliged to attend from here on out. Anyway, it's fun. Damn, those cars are loud!

This may be my favorite scene of any Monty Python anything, although there is a rich list of skits and scenes that vie for that position

I watched the first one with my Dad and my brother. Dad used to work in the World Trade Center down town. We had a bird's eye view from the 22nd floor or so...

Well some shimmering tart in a pond throwing swords at people is no basis for a system of government!! Supreme executive power comes from the masses.

In NASCAR... It's going to take her a full season or more just to consistently run in the top 25. Transitioning to NASCAR is a pain as it is probably the most competitive pro series in the world. The learning curve is incredibly steep. Some of the best in the world have tried and failed miserably.

Danica is lucky though.. Unlike most rookie she has the luxury of time. Regardless of how poorly performs her value will still remain sky high. She'll never lose her ride for lack of sponsorship. Hopefully she makes the best of it because there are thousands of talented short track racers in the US that will never get the opportunity she has because they are not as marketable.

I don't need to watch that to hear in my head, "There's some lovely filth over here, Dennis!"

Or: I'm 37! I'm not old, I'm 37!

I took a tour of the twin towers maybe twelve years ago. My son and I spent two hours in the tower they had open (think it was the North but I can't really remember). I didn't have the guts to lean my head against the windows - it was sickening. And I am so grateful that I got the experience.

Not a fan. I'll support her more after she actually wins something. I gained respect for LeBron James when he finally won a title, because it was no longer just year after year of hype and talk.

When she wins a race, I'll be the first to eat crow. Until then, I'm not a fan.

There are many levels of teams, and sometimes the bottleneck is the driver, sometimes it's the car. Because Danica is the only widely known female NASCAR driver, she will continue to be a ratings and sales draw. As a woman, I look forward to the day that a woman driver is not a "woman driver," but is just a driver.

Bawmer, NY..same difference, right?

I had no idea.

I'm totally going to the GP this year, though.

I would be a fan of a successful female driver, but Danica's more of a marketing machine than a good driver, as far as I'm concerned. I feel similarly about Dale Jr. He's a bit overrated because of the bloodline.

It's "watery tart." Or "strange women in ponds." Or "moistened bint."

You're crazy.

I agree 100%. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for validation. But not holding my breath.
