im not having much luck on getting the price i want.. i dont get last year they were practicly giving the cars away now u cant get more than a few grand off sticker.. i might have to wait till the end of the month when the dealers wanna make the sale more...

eddison nissan is a joke, their sales people are idiots.. i called there asking about a used z they had, and i asked them why do they want so much for a z with 38k on and that has aftermarket exhaust and has the rear diffuser painted black.. i told them trade in on the car is 17k retail is 20k and certified is 21k so y do they want 25k for it. the idiot then tells me that that car new is 40k blah blah blah.. i quickly corrected him saying that a sport with touring is 40k on the current body style.. and that his is a 09 and is just a sport package and was only 35k when it was brand new.. ok long story short he started to get mad because i actualy knew what i was talking about with the car and being that he knew nothing he started to say thats the price we dont discount etc blah blah blah.. so i asked for a manager, of course he is busy and they send me to the assistant manager same story then she says she will tranfer me to the manager and of course i get hung up on..
this makes me laugh, i mean a person calling to to inquire about a car and u treat them like crap.. what the hell is wrong with these dealers.. they want to give you nothing for your car on trade but want top dollar for their car.... i mean it wasnt even the color i wanted but i was curious about it because it had higher miles and i thought maybe i can get it for a good price, if i could get it for the right price i would have gotten it and modded the hell out of it.. stupid delaers.. i will be calling back just to vent to the manager!!! |

I can explain but it's a long explanation so here goes. Basically what it boils down to is that a confluence of economic circumstances has driven demand for used cars through the roof.
-During the economic downturn starting in 2008, no one was leasing cars. -This means that all of those cars that would normally hit the used car market in 3-4 years didn't. -Credit is harder to come by since the recession meaning new car loans are tougher to get and have higher interest rates. -Households are cutting down on travel expenses (going to one car, driving less) due to ~the price of gas~ -People are keeping their cars longer due to all of the above. All of this adds up to a high demand for quality used cars which means that dealerships have been having a field day. And before you tell me I'm full of crap, I bought my base 2009 Z for 28.8k. I sold it privately for 25.5k in 2011.
