I think they exaggerate it a bit claiming how all seasons barely out performs summer tires. Do they? Well I agree 100% with first hand experience, but I think them using a RWD car on ice exaggerates it a bit

My civic had performance summer tires, driving home in the snow, total accumulation was about 2-3 by now, and my neighborhood is practically white. My gf at the time driving her RSX had toyo proxes, all season tires.

Long story short, she made it up the hills in my neighborhood, me slipping, sliding and stuck on the bottom of the neighborhood lol not to mention I was getting a little loosey on the highway, and this is all in a honda civic!

I think the gap between all seasons and summers is just as big as all seasons are to winters.

How many miles and what were your alignment specs? How was the wear front vs. rear?

I checked mine after around 14k of very aggressive driving and I still had a ton of tread left. Granted on the Mustang I was able to rotate every 5k.

eastwest2300 03-20-2013 09:39 AM

You all need to get a set of Nankangs... they last foeva...

m4a1mustang 03-20-2013 09:39 AM

:gtfo2: with that bullshite!

LMAO, Nankang's.

On those cheap wheel websites they give those tires away for free with the wheels.

i put a bit over 13k on them. no rotations.
i had everything aligned - they were in spec even wear... i might have gotten another thousand miles out of them but it was already winter - so i just swapped them out.

Cristobal09 03-20-2013 09:44 AM

Randy, are you going to keep your A/S tires on this summer, or you going to get another set of PSS's?
