Maybe the weekend of the 21st or 28th of July? Burke Lake does have some nice spots and I haven't been to Leesylvania State Park in years.

not being selfish but closer to the first or second weekend in august would be great for me since i'll be down there and off of work lol

Fountainhead Regional Park and Occoquan Regional Park are both very nice.

It wouldn't cost much at all. The only problem I see is that it seems like all of these parks prohibit alcohol.

That wouldn't be a huge issue for me.

I think a lot of MD parks do, as well.

25x35' Gazebo with a 50 person capacity and double grill that is literally ON the Occoquan river. Pretty cool.

how about Caledon Natural Area State Park. isnt that in MD? or is that VA

That's south of most of us in Stafford VA. Not sure what facilities they have. And it's a PITA to reserve with the State. The Regional parks are much easier to work with.

You can kind of tell how it's in a wooded area that juts out onto the river.
