We are getting close to go time, guys.

Regarding food, last year we all brought stuff that we kind of pooled up and shared. Basically, bring enough for yourself and then some and it all sort of works out. I figured it'd be a good time to re-open this for discussion just to make sure we're all covered.

Jon & Pat have a charcoal grill they are bringing. I picked up another one as well, sort of a small one, but I think we should be good to go on grills. Both of us will be bringing charcoal as well.

I'll also be bringing some beef hot dogs and burger patties, buns, chips, and some paper plates & utensils.

We're buying stuff at the Grocery Store and bringing plenty of adult beverage stuff......

Will I be in charge of hauling your massive amounts of hard liquor again? :icon17:

Still so much to do before Sunday.

I bought radios. Let me know what channels to be keyed in on, and please hit me up when you're in Fontana.

Head over to 660 on Tuesday evening.

Do you think it's faster to hit Robbinsville from the resort to hit a grocery store?

I'm not brining the truck and trailer this year, so I will be making a grocery run after drop my stuff off. Having zero trunk space sucks, but not ******** my pants on the dragon with a trailer will be nice.

m4a1mustang 05-07-2012 01:50 PM

You're right, Robbinsville is closer and there is an Ingles Market right there.

We stop at Bryson City because its on the way.

FuszNissan 05-07-2012 01:51 PM

Just double checking.

Judging by your srs face from the photo that Killboy got last year of you driving the truck and trailer... probably better just to drive the Z all the way :icon17:

I'm bringing a car wash bucket, wash mitts and car soap if nobody has any room to bring theirs and wants to wash their ride at Fontana before the masses arrive on Friday :tiphat:

m4a1mustang 05-07-2012 02:10 PM

Oh yay. We'll be there early so I won't feel bad about washing the car on Wednesday or Thursday. Hoping I'll be able to keep it clean enough with quick detailer and waterless wash, though.

FuszNissan 05-07-2012 02:13 PM

Lol...that, and being able to shave 2-3 hours off the trip.

FuszNissan 05-07-2012 02:13 PM

Adams waterless FTW!

I've been meaning to pick up some of that stuff. How you like it?

FuszNissan 05-07-2012 02:35 PM

Works very well, waterless, then detail spray, and you're good to go.

Anyone who is not sure what to bring for foodstuffs, consider any of the following types of extras such as:

- chips (always welcome)
- dip
- buns (hotdog/burger)
- ham, turkey, etc. for sammiches
- sandwhich bread
- ketchup, mustard, etc.
- onion (for burgers/dogs)
- relish (for dogs)
- bottled water
- burgers/dogs
- napkins
- plastic cups (for mixers)
- ice (for mixers)
- soda (for mixers)
- cranberry juice (for mixers)
- any other juice you like (for mixers)

We picked up a stack of 100 paper plates on sale at the commissary so along with what Steve said he picked up we should be good for a few days.
