Why did you have to wait 99 days?

Because Maryland requires you to have a background check done before the purchase of an "assault" rifle or pistol, or anything else that is semi-automatic.

There's such a huge backlog, the wait was 99 days.

All I need to do is walk in fill out paperwork show my CC permit pay and walk out.
And if it is a person to person transaction then pay the person and that's it.

Yeah, no person-to-person stuff here, sadly. Any transfers need to go through an FFL. I COULD go to Virginia and buy one person-to-person and simply bring it back, but it's not legal to do inside of MD I believe.

Not legal in VA, either. Private sales can only be conducted between VA residents.

It's about time! Do you have ammo for it already? That seems to be an issue these says also. Well, now that its in your hands, I bet it was worth waiting for. Nice pistol.

99 Days!!!!!
That sucks!!!!

Moving on...

Nice gun!
If it is a 45 then I got one too.
I love mine.
It is eventually going to be converted into 460 Rowland.
Most likely that will happen next year.

I also have the XDM's hot little sister the XDS.
An original XDS in .45 ACP not the new 9mm version.
Great gun!
The recoil was less than I expected considering the size.
However it is an very un-forgiving pistol.
If ya mis-handle her, she lets you know!
What I mean is that if you don't have a proper, firm, "manly" grip she won't cycle all the way.
Fails to go into battery.
I personally have had no cycling issue when I shoot her but other people have (my pistol specifically).
Usually the cause is them using a "Holly Wood" grip and/or limp wristing it.
Once I correct their grip the issue usually goes away.

Enjoy your purchase Bobo!
You certainly waited long enough for it.

Yes'm, it's the 45 4.5". I loved shooting it last time, and I'm sure I'll love having my own!

I intend to get an XDS 45 at some point - my father has one, and it'll make a great CC weapon whenever that comes around...

I saw the video of the woman who got an XDS, and it wasnt cycling properly. Hubby held it instead, fired perfect every time...

Glad to see you didn't join the 100 day club. I'll be interested to see how long it takes my AR to get out of purgatory.
