BTW, Red... If you already have a 5.56 lying around you can always just buy a .300 blackout barrel and swap. As long as it is a direct replacement, e.g. carbine with carbine, it'll only cost you whatever the barrel costs. You can get 'em for $175 or so for an AAC. Mine is a Wilson Combat Stainless Steel fluted barrel. Those run $300 but are so worth it IMO.
Also, if anyone is interested in but hasn't shot subsonic loads, if you put on an adjustable gas block (i would highly recommend it), you can get recoil to be so low that your only indication that it fired it a hole in your target and the bolt locking back into place. Seriously smooth, light and downright awesome. Only thing better is a suppressor. ![]() |
