I know a bunch of the guys have wanted a "370z Shoot Day", we should hook that up.

Absolutely, we could cruise out there, shoot, then cruise back. Definitely sounds like something we could do!

I'm in the iddle of building my new 14.5" AR (lower complete), just waiting for the barrel to be pinned by a gunsmith, so should have it back in a week. AND..... I just ordered a new upper receiver today for my NEXT build LOL I'm planning on building "another AR platform" LMAO, but in the new "300 AAC Blackout" caliber (7.62×35mm)

Did we ever resolve the "state lines" issue?

I am not a lawyer, but I think transport across state lines is fine so long as you follow a few guidelines like separating your ammo from your guns and locking either the ammo or the guns up.
I am extra cautious so if I were to go to MD to shoot I would break down the upper and lower of my AR and place them in their case. I would leave my Glock field stripped in its case. Guns would go in the trunk and I would keep the ammo locked in a metal ammo can in the passenger compartment. Federal Law affords us some protections regarding transporting legally owned firearms across state lines. Just make sure you do your research on individual state laws (for your destination state and all of the states you will be passing through) to make sure you are covered.

You're a lucky bastard though:
Officer: Why do you have all of these guns in your car? You: Secret Service, bitch! Officer: Sorry for bother you, sir.

haha... actually, I just got pulled over in my Mitsubishi Eclipse for my tinted license plate cover by Montgomery County, and the whole stop lasted about 3 minutes.. I was good to go.
