I've bought pistols under Glock's "Blue Label" program. Discounts up to $100 plus a couple of extra magazines. Active military and LEO only. That discount is in addition to whatever the dealer is willing to apply, but many dealers will forgo their usual in-house discount if the Blue Label discount direct from Glock is applied. Kinda slimey, but they really make out on those deals. You pretty much have to sell firearms for no more than 10% over cost to be competitive these days and this deal can get them around that.

This explains why there was such a price difference between the 2 shops that I had been to.. Thanks Mac, again very good information.
