Any of you Tavor guys shoot Wolf or TulAmmo without any issues? Aside from the need for deep cleaning, of course.

Everything good is gone, so I think I need to stock up on some cheap **** for plinking!

ew. i have a hard time with the concept of shooting steel. i've done it, but didn't care for it. no real feed issues but my pride was severely diminished. lol

Tigger 12-12-2015 11:49 AM

oh. you said tavor. ummm. but my statement about pride still applies. ;)

m4a1mustang 12-12-2015 11:56 AM

Reading the forums it looks like most of the Wolf is fine, but the TulAmmo is the most varied in quality. Screw pride... I just want to shoot paper.

lol! no worries man. i won't judge you.

i do remember shooting TulAmmo several years ago. horrible stuff even in a pistol.

Tigger 12-12-2015 12:05 PM

i just need to finally buy some reloading equipment. i'll never have to buy ammo again unless i shoot all my 9mm Lehigh Defense stuff. Omg. Their ammo is the ****. Three boxes will set you back $100 easy but damn is it wickedly good ****.

m4a1mustang 12-12-2015 12:11 PM

I'm going to buy some reloading stuff when I buy a house. I don't know if my parents would appreciate me setting up a reloading station in their basement!

I was trying to explain to a very anti-gun coworker why "stockpiles" of ammo are not scary... it's economical!

"Why does anyone need 10,000 rounds?"

That kind of stuff.

:bowrofl: Good luck with that.

m4a1mustang 12-12-2015 12:42 PM

But yea, the Wolf/TulAmmo stuff is not allowed at my indoor range, so it would have to be for outdoor use only. There is an outdoor range like 1.5 hours away... yay me.

She's pretty rational, though, so after I explained I can easily go through 200-400 rounds in an hour at the range she realized it made some sense. :icon17:

Well he has never seen how fast you can go through ammo at the range. Most anti-gunners have no idea what a normal amount of ammo is. If I remember correctly a lot of those 3 day fire arms classes require you to bring 3k-5k rounds of ammo. I definitely have had many 1k+ round range days.

I was planning on hitting up one of those dynamic shooter classes by Costa and I think they require 1,500 rounds at the bare minimum for a two or three day course.

Virginia....hard to think it didn't take long for it to get infected as well...

Virginia to stop recognizing concealed carry gun permits from 25 states

VA will be a solidly liberal state within 20 years.

yup. i plan to be out of this **** hole "commonwealth" long before that.

One can only hope that next election cycle Virginians will give the AG the boot. You know he'll be running for Governor.

Unlikely with NOVA's population growth. It's very heavily blue.

I am also not encourage that it will be possible. However, during the last election cycle, both of the candidates running in VA for office that were bankrolled heavily by Bloomberg were defeated after it was made known they accepted Bloomberg's anti-gun money.

Unfortunately, Governor McAwfull also received the largest funding donations from Bloomberg when he was running. It all depends on how motivated Virginians all over the state are to get rid of the infection, or if they are willing to be assimilated into the Progressive way of life.

D.Stillwell 12-25-2015 10:02 AM

Most of VA outside of NOVA will never give up guns and will run these liberal idiots out of town.

NoVA is doomed though, I need to escape soon.

m4a1mustang 12-25-2015 10:10 AM

********.

The rest of Virginia is highly dependent on NOVA's tax dollars. Not to mention Richmond and Roanoke are turning very blue themselves. VA is doomed. NOVA has already fallen.

I'll just leave this hear for you Virginians:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1T1a...HEWEY/viewform

Herring will be running for re-election in 2017. This guy won the AG slot by just over 100 votes in the election. I believe his actions on reciprocity just lost him more than that.

Don't forget, there is always Open Carry which remains legal in Virginia, mostly. I'm sure that is what AG Herring and McAwfull wanted anyways.

There is a bill being introduced to reverse AG Herring's unilateral action.

Trying to research this. Been looking at the Maryland ban list and some other articles. Can you purchase a bolt action barrett 50bmg in Maryland. I emailed my gun shop and they replied, barrett banned. I emailed again asking for confirmation that even a bolt action is banned, the ban list strictly says semi-auto banned. Any ideas?

Barrett 50 is banned in certain states due to shear caliber/round size. So while the 50 might be a bolt action, it may very well still be banned.

ZCarMan 01-03-2016 10:29 AM

Bolt action .50 cal should be good in Maryland, but IANAL. Bottom line though is that you have to find the FFL that will sell it, so you'll need to check around. A great resource is Maryland Shooters website at:

Thanks, ya they agreed over there that only a M107 and a semi .50 is banned, must be my shop just doesn't want to sell one or doesn't know the law

Tigger 01-11-2016 04:53 PM

It's finally here! Got the rail covers and sections on the way as well so I can move the foregrip back to where I actually want it. Troy DOA Tritium rear and Troy tritium front backup sights will be ordered soon.

Then a complete tear-down and it is off to Mad Customs for a full cerakote treatment including the mags, optic, sights, trigger and all. It won't be crazy stupid or toy-like. Going all black with a very faint, ghost grey pattern. Going to keep it 98% professional.

After six years of going back and forth on optics and owning two aimpoints and hating them, procuring two tax stamps and changing each and every part for a high-end variant, I finally have a complete rifle. So thrilled.

Should be complete by May/June. Then I'm going to run this bitch through the ringer and make it earn every penny of the $7k that this damn thing has cost me. She's a whore.
