I can always rent one or borrow someone else's to go shooting. Which reminds me, whatever happened to that shooting meet we were planning? Paintball meet wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I'm still waiting on that shooting meet. Cold weather FTW! I am dying to take my AR and Mauser out to an open range.

Oh, and guns aren't always that expensive. If you decide you like them it's something you should really consider buying NOW as a hedge against further government regulation on what you can or can't buy. You can get a good pistol for under $500... a Shotgun for much less... and many rifles for less as well.

I went ahead and bought a really nice BCM AR-15 before I really was planning on it simply because I know I can buy them now... but who knows if I could 1-2 years from now with how volatile our political situation is?

That's fine. If you don't want one you don't want one. I know lots of people that love to shoot but actually have no interest in owning a gun.

I personally believe all competent citizens should be issued a home defense shotgun, but that's just me. :icon17:

I guess I should say I don't want one right now. Maybe someday, but for now I'm good.

Specs?

murphman 12-23-2011 07:13 AM

its a Daniel Defense m4v1

https://danieldefense.com/rifles/car...arbine-v1.html

I like how it has a tag on it that has all the people who signed off on specific tests the gunwent through before leaving DD

also on a tag on the gun it says it has a full auto carrier, I know full auto is not legal but I am assuming if SHTF and i converted to full auto the gun would operate fine?

m4a1mustang 12-23-2011 07:28 AM

Nice. Well I suppose it should if you don't screw anything up while converting, but honestly I see no need to even bother.

yeah i agree that there is no point but my brother has always tossed around the idea of doing it to his m&p15 but never has. According to him it is a very simple and quick process to make an ar15 full auto, now will it be reliable & safe? that I have no idea.
