anyway, with that the barrel is interchangeable between 5.56 and 7.62 NATO. Much like how the M240's are. Just twist barrel off and put a different caliber barrel in it. I think the mag can feed 7.62 rounds also

No clue what that would be. The M6 is made by LWRC and is 5.56 - not barrel interchangeable. Maybe the SCAR Mk16 or Mk17, or maybe the Bushmaster ACR. I've shot the ACR semi-auto in 5.56mm. It's OK, although not something I'd be interested in. AFAIK, 7.62 barrels aren't available for the ACR.

aah...ic
ill look it up...I'd really like to get a hold of it. It would be cool having one rifle for both hunting and just something cheap to shoot with.
Plus its something that the other gun doesnt have.

Violent. Not painful in any way, but lots of noise and blast, sand and dirt often kicked up in your face. Lots of activity from the rifle. It's a very, very well-made weapon, but it weighs 30 lbs or so. Definitely a tool for specialty applications, not a Sunday afternoon plinker.

Maybe his AR is a 300 Blackout, that's a 7.62 round.

When he says interchageable, probably just means he swaps the uppers.

The 300 blackout fits into a standard AR 5.56 magazine.

Only thing different between the 2 AR platforms is the barrel, all other parts are standard AR-15/M4 parts.

Best Prices?

So who do you guys buy from?
I've pretty much decided on a Sig P226 Elite Stainless .40.
Now, where do I get it?

Local gun store.
I would recommend gun shows because they always have cool stuff to sell.
And most times a lot cheaper too.

I'm not sure about VA but I know the gun laws are pretty strict for northeastern states.
