Lately I'm just wanting a pump shotgun and a revolver to avoid dealing with this crap. Although oddly enough, my 1911 has been trouble-free through all these plastic pistol issues... |

Here is an interesting crowdfunding effort underway at Kickstarter:
INFRINGED: Second Amendment in the Crosshairs by The Intervale Group LLC — Kickstarter |
Just a heads-up to anyone who has a pending application for a firearm in Maryland: there's a possibility your SSN, address, full name, telephone number, and health records are compromised.
Governor O'Malley sanctioned several state agencies to review your 77R (waiver for mental health background check) which contains all your sensitive info. These other agencies are openly known to have employees with gang affiliations/criminal backgrounds. To make things worse: your information is being burned onto a hard copy cd, "planned to be destroyed" after it's used. Who exactly is overseeing this? Nobody. When you signed this document, it specifically stated that Maryland State Police would be the only entity to review this information. Gov. O'Malley sanctioned this task force to try to unjam the backlog of paperwork. The backlog has been like this since January, and less than one month before the October 1st deadline, they make an illegal attempt to push things forward? Complete BS. There's speculation that Gov. O'Malley sanctioned this task force because, if you recall; as of Oct. 1, anyone wishing to purchase a handgun must first go through the proper course and obtain a license to get the handgun. What is the curriculum for said course/license? They haven't even begun to establish it yet. So sensing the impending epic fail on Gov. O'Malley's part, he tries to make things better by putting a bandaid over it... or rubbing dirt in it... whichever. At first chance, I'm out of this state. It's disgusting how MD govt. treats its citizens. |

Jon (and any other Maylander), C'mon down to VA! The news from up North keeps getting worse! I didn't think that could happen! :shakes head: |

C'mon down to VA! The news from up North keeps getting worse! I didn't think that could happen! :shakes head:[/QUOTE] If I head south, it will be much farther than VA. Virginia is going to be under assault in the coming years from the same people that brought us Owe Malley. I can't wait until 1 October comes and the lawsuits are filed. Until then, I have all my soon to be banned evil firearms and since I'm a vet much of the a$$hatery requirements are waived for me. I just feel bad for anyone else who might want to own certain rifles or handguns that are banned. |
Dude, this is just fricken crazy... wow..
|
All I have to say is that I hate OweMalley just a bit more as he made me buy too many guns this year.
I picked up my M14 receiver on Friday... Just picked up my last purchase for a while today. A nice little Tavor... Cash and Carry to boot... Screw OweMalley and the corrupt MD political machine. We need Recall elections here too... In the last 5 months MD has sold more guns than in the last 7 years. UP YOURS OweMalley... |

I got my 74 in 5.45x39 because you can get the ammo really cheap. You can get a 1080 spam can for 175 at Wideners. Its a good time to stock up because eventually that stuff will be no more. Plus the simplicity of the AK platform is rather nice. |

Man, I am on your side.. Im finally starting to see whats going on, and what has been going on, its crazy.

How do you guys like the tavors?
I'm debating between another AR build and a tavor. I really like the idea of a bull pup but I'm not sure I would love it in practice. |

If there was an ATC trigger for it I think I would hang most of my ARs on the wall... |
Hey guys, I've got an extra P226 .357/.40S&W 12rd official mag I'm looking to sell. If anyone is interested, PM me.

Thinking about getting a Noreen Bad News or ULR in either .338, .408 or .50. I like the portability and simplicity of the ULR. And I wouldn't mind having a real bolt gun again. Definitely going to get the Remington 700 SPS Tactical chambered for .300 BLK. Why not? lol. But back to the Noreen. Anyone have anything to say on these? Barrett is fine and the local gun store has several and yes, I've given it some serious thought. But if I can save a few pennies and get equal performance, or better, then the rest is self-explanatory. I just can't seem to find ammo for .408. AT ALL. Anyone know where to get the brass/bullets for that round?
Nevermind on the ammo. Chey Tac actually stocks it (finally). Speaking of which, looking into the Chey Tac .408 Intervention M200. Any thoughts? |

I'm building a 300 BLK AR-15 when I get back from my trip. From scratch with all custom parts from Noveske, JP Enterprises, Wilson Combat, Magpul, and ASA. I already have every thing except the lower. Can't wait to get home! If you do get one, are you going to reload? I'm going strait to reloads due to the scarcity (and price :shakes head:) of factory loads. We'll have to have a range day after I'm finish building mine. Quote:
How ever @ close to $13,000 (or more) for just the rifle it is very very low on my list. Probably never own one.http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/sigh.gif I'm more interested in other "cheaper" rifles. Speaking of other rifles...... Quote:
I'm very interested in the SCAR 17S and I was wondering what your thoughts where on it. Like it? Hate it? Worth the price? Would buy it again? |
Quote:
I built my own .300 AR all from pieces so if you have any questions please ask. I posted a couple pictures of it on this thread awhile back if you are interested in finding it. Range day sounds great. I'm mostly waiting for my tax stamp to come back and get my suppressor and also for powder/primer costs to come down a bit more before I start reloading so I can hit the range in force. I only have a couple hundred rounds of factory loaded ammo for the .300 and a very limited stock of .300 Whisper (subsonic) ammo. I decided that since the purpose was going to be mostly urban and thus likely indoors that I wanted a dedicated suppressed weapon so that helped kick out the blackout reticle optics. I looked at the EOTech 300 optic last week. It was nearly pointless and your eyesight better be perfect. I'm just going to slap an Aimpoint T1 on it and call it a day. Otherwise it is a bad-*** mofo. lol! It aint light. But it'll take a beating, kick *** and live to tell the tale. ;) I figured with turning all my brass into a common subsonic load I would be more than comfortable attaching the suppressor on the bolt gun 300. It is a Surefire Mini 7.62. They recommend for bolt rifles with a barrel length longer than 16". Should work out well. I know you can't say when you are coming back but pm me when you might like to get together and take the toys to the range. |
you fellas are on top of your game..

I'm eager to hear how it goes. I am not generally a fan of the bp trigger but I like the platform a lot. |

I liked the fact that they are annealed, they should last longer wrt reloading. I'm staying supersonic for now. When I get back, if you need some primers for let me know. I have some CCI No. 41s I might be willing to part with. I like EOTechs, have one on my ACR (EXSP3-2). I do have an Aimpoint Mirco H1 and T1 as well, love them both especially their size. Since my 300BLK build is leaning more towards taking out tasty critters I'm putting a scope on it. I found the pics of your 300BLK AR-15...Nice! Wouldn't mind seeing that Surefire in action once your stamp comes in. |
Quote:
Yeah I can't wait for that stamp. Freakin' government shutdown is going to delay an already delayed process. Oh well. It's all paid for. Just waiting. Crazy thing is that it is already quiet as hell with subs. I was trying to go for "hollywood" quiet, and it can be done. But in the end the compact size war won. 4" of overhang is pretty damn good! |
Speaking of 300BLK stuff...
MidwayUSA just got some of the coveted and very hard to find Barnes 300 AAC Blackout VOR-TX Ammunition in. Going for $30.99 a box of 20. Link: Barnes 300 AAC Blackout VOR-TX Ammo Grabbed a few boxes before they sold out again! :happydance: Better hurry if you want to get some! |
Nutnfancy has a Z!
I bet most of you guys have heard of Nutnfacy on YouTube.
Does great reviews on guns and other sporting equipment. Also give out some great advice as well (IMO) on various things. He post videos of his other hobbies too. Well he has a Z. Is not a 370Z but we won't fault him for that!:stirthepot: Its a turbo'ed 350Z. Interesting set up. Gave me a laugh. A car review Nutnfancy style! |
