First pick is the lower with basic parts hands tight, before I did the build.
It also includes my kick a$$ 18" SPR

The second pic is the completed lower, the upper is at the gun smiths getting the barrel pinned.
It's a 14.5", which I'm pinning so I don't have to pay the ATF any money for having a SBR ;)

That's a great looking rifle. I've got a spot in PA that we can shoot out to 900yds. Let me know if you want to go sometime. It's a friends private property and we sit up on a ridge and shoot into the valley at manhole covers that are hanging every 100yds between 500 and 900. The only issue is you can't shoot at anything closer because of the angle down the hill and there are no targets set up closer than 500. I just got myself a Savage chambered in .338 Lapua on a trade for a Daniel Defense AR setup that I had sitting around unused and I plan on going up during my Christmas vacation.

Absolutely, we could cruise out there, shoot, then cruise back. Definitely sounds like something we could do!

I haven't had chance to put my 18" SPR AR-15 to the test at that distance yet, so that would be cool.

I'm in the iddle of building my new 14.5" AR (lower complete), just waiting for the barrel to be pinned by a gunsmith, so should have it back in a week.

AND..... I just ordered a new upper receiver today for my NEXT build LOL

I'm planning on building "another AR platform" LMAO, but in the new "300 AAC Blackout" caliber (7.62×35mm)

Did we ever resolve the "state lines" issue?

I am not a lawyer, but I think transport across state lines is fine so long as you follow a few guidelines like separating your ammo from your guns and locking either the ammo or the guns up.

I am extra cautious so if I were to go to MD to shoot I would break down the upper and lower of my AR and place them in their case. I would leave my Glock field stripped in its case. Guns would go in the trunk and I would keep the ammo locked in a metal ammo can in the passenger compartment.

Federal Law affords us some protections regarding transporting legally owned firearms across state lines. Just make sure you do your research on individual state laws (for your destination state and all of the states you will be passing through) to make sure you are covered.
