Nighthawk is fantastic. Very well built and tight. I am personally not a Colt fan so there is some bias but not much. I won't say how I really feel about colt but I'll tell you this much... it aint good.

well - the feel of each was frankly pretty similar (in terms of the grip, and the weight and the balance)

but the trigger was different - which i think made me pull everything about 2 inches left with the Colt - and I also couldn't keep the pattern as tight.

with the Nighthawk, i cleared out each bull - right where i was aiming.

maybe i'll bring the targets to a meet soon for 'review' and criticism :)

But to stay on topic, a 10/22 is a must for any person who enjoys shooting. Its not too expensive compared to an AR platform and you can hang all kinds of furniture on the rails which makes it a lot of fun. And lastly, when you can find it, ammo is not as expensive.

Well, if you plan on purchasing anything, now is the time. Come 1 October, the new law comes into effect. It doesn't impact those who already own firearms that will be banned, but does ban them for anyone who doesn't already own them after 1 October. They will have to jump through all kinds of extra hoops (fingerprints for handguns, license, training, only ten round mags etc.) and will never be able to own an AR-15 in MD.

I agree. The 10-22 should be in every gun owners inventory. Or at least a .22 rifle. I have a 10-22 and a Smith and Wesson 15-22 (which is a .22 that looks just like an AR-15) and like shooting them both.
