Nice buy though, welcome to the HK family!

There is a reason I have 6 HKs.

I like the P30's in general but HK messed up with that slide mounted decocker. I prefer the decocker to be apart of the safety like all the rest of HK pistol family. Also since the decocker is on the slide you can't swap out the triggers like you can with the USP, P200, HK45, and the non-slide mounted decocker variants of the P30. That is one of the reasons I want a P30L V1. The other reason is that the V1 has the LEM light trigger like what I have installed in my HK45s

I didn't want another XDwhatever. I already had one. Just wouldn't be on par with what i already have in the M. And I've always wanted an HK. This one was tucked back in a darker corner of the case and you really couldn't make out what it was. Kind of like an omen.

I love the compactness of it and the action on the slide. The decocker was a big plus for me. I don't give a **** that it is on the back of the slide. From your perspective they screwed up but I think it was a smart decision. And I like that it doesn't have a safety lever. That makes it quicker for me to operate and no mishandling possibilities between the slide release and safety like i've experienced on other pistols. These polymers were designed for speed and efficiency. Glad they stuck to that concept.

For compactness I'm more than fine with my Kahr CM9 and Glock 26!

Don't get me wrong I like the slide decocker even though I prefer the standard style but it sacrificed a feature I really like on HK pistols.

Fair enough. To each their own.

This video is entertaining. I can't imagine anyone doing the things done to this particular VP9, but I always enjoy when they do torture tests on any firearm just to see what it can and can not withstand.

Any of you Tavor guys shoot Wolf or TulAmmo without any issues? Aside from the need for deep cleaning, of course.

Everything good is gone, so I think I need to stock up on some cheap **** for plinking!

ew. i have a hard time with the concept of shooting steel. i've done it, but didn't care for it. no real feed issues but my pride was severely diminished. lol

Tigger 12-12-2015 11:49 AM

oh. you said tavor. ummm. but my statement about pride still applies. ;)

m4a1mustang 12-12-2015 11:56 AM

Reading the forums it looks like most of the Wolf is fine, but the TulAmmo is the most varied in quality. Screw pride... I just want to shoot paper.

lol! no worries man. i won't judge you.

i do remember shooting TulAmmo several years ago. horrible stuff even in a pistol.

i just need to finally buy some reloading equipment. i'll never have to buy ammo again unless i shoot all my 9mm Lehigh Defense stuff. Omg. Their ammo is the ****. Three boxes will set you back $100 easy but damn is it wickedly good ****.

I'm going to buy some reloading stuff when I buy a house. I don't know if my parents would appreciate me setting up a reloading station in their basement!

I was trying to explain to a very anti-gun coworker why "stockpiles" of ammo are not scary... it's economical!

"Why does anyone need 10,000 rounds?"

That kind of stuff.
