Caution: AmmunitionToGo.com Credit Card Security

Hey guys,

Just talked to a couple of friends who recently purchased ammo from AmmunitionToGo.com

They have also recently noticed unidentified charges on their credit cards/accounts, for several thousand dollars..!!!!

They are both in the process of following up on the issue, but these are guys that rarely use their credit cards online, and both suspect that their recent transaction with AmmunitionToGo.com may have been the source, or at least the source for leaking their information to someone else.

Note: AmmoToGo.com is the same site, it redirects you to AmmunitionToGo.com

Hmm, let us know what they find out. I haven't ordered anything from them before but haven't read anything negative either.

Mac, what do you use to lube your AR? Reading on M4C that a lot of folks have good success using synthetic motor oil. That works for me.

High temp wheel bearing grease (Coastal Uniplex) for me.. :tiphat:

About $3-$4 from Advanced Auto Parts, and this can will probably last 5 years LOL

Strip and clean with Ballistol first ;)

Like oil for our cars, I think lube for weapons has a huge amount of hype and is way over-thought. I confess, I have some Slip 2000 in my tool box, as well as some Machinegunner's Lube, so, at least at some point I did buy into the hype. I also have some Mobil 1 in some little squeeze bottles (eyedrop bottles) and mostly use that. Truthfully, I don't pay that much attention...I use whatever comes to hand first when I reach into my cleaning box.

I tend to stay away from grease on ARs because I always seem to be rolling around with them and grease holds the dirt and powder residue and forms a theoretically abrasive mixture that doesn't wash off when more gun oil is added in the field - you actually have to strip the stuff off with brake cleaner. I do use a little white lithium on the slide rails of pistols.

m4a1mustang 09-26-2011 05:55 PM

I have a couple quarts of Redline Synthetic from my 370 that I will now use on the AR. Just need to go pickup some of those droplet bottles. :D

I always forget how small .223 is. Here compared to 7mm Mauser.

I use slipstream and am very happy with it.

They look good and I have a quite a few, but I dropped a full magazine on a piece of concrete at a 3 gun match and cracked one. Also it's a pain in the *** to load them with stripper clips and sometimes when loading with them the nose of the bullet will end up on one side of the center rib and the body on the other resulting in a type 3 stoppage.

Don't get me wrong, I like them and use them but it's still plastic. If you drop your mags free at the range when reloading it can get costly.

Those ranger plates would probably be a good investment, then.

It'd be nice just to have atleast 2 of them, I think I would rather stick with normal magazines, being that Im use to using them. But nonetheless, they still look badass.

Nice AR. The only thing holding me back from getting one again is that I don't know of any good ranges around me to use it at.

I like to to go to On Target in Severn (Indoor), but they don't allow anything more than handgun calibers. Cresap is an outdoor range in Frederick, real close to me, but they make you shoot rifles from the seated position :gtfo2:
Gilbert Indoor Range in Rockville is really nice and you can use just about anything, but you have to buy Ammo there - like $25 a box for .223 and it's usually the crappiest stuff (Wolf).

Whats up with all those ridiculous stipulations? Ohh my freaking gosh..:ugh2:

I use the Butler Creek StripLuLA, it's awesome. I buy my Federal ammo on clips, and it's so quick and easy.

YEP.. even works with loose rounds not just stripper clips.

Easier on the hands when it's cold, or trying to load rounds in gloves.
