I think I'm just going to order a bunch of M193 online for the range. Don't think my local indoor will let us shoot the 855.

Palmetto State Armory has 5.56 PMC XTAC and PMC Bronze in .223, both for about $.030 per round. $300 for 1000 rounds, no sales tax charged, and $12 for shipping.

Yup, its time to head to the range...:driving:

Only worth it if you buy several hundred/thousand rounds, because of the shipping cost. Quote:

Yeah man, but for me, for as much as I go to the range, which is maybe once a year, sitting on hundreds or thousands of rounds, doesnt save me any money. It sucks.
Darren, lets go to the Range bro! |

I think the guys from the Columbia meet and greet were thinking Hap Baker in Westminster. Will need to check and see if there's any progress on that. If I drag my a$$ out of bed early enough, I might hit up Westminster tomorrow. |
I try to go to the range at least 2x a month to stay on top of my game with the G26. I probably go through at least 400-500 rounds of 9mm a month. Guess it adds up but it is what it is.

8 are 25, 50, 100 feet. And 2 are 100 & 200 feet. $15 per lane for the "day", that's pretty sweet. Although I don't imagine spending a whole day there, that's a lot of ammo LOL. Also a small pistol range, and shotguns, although I have not seen the shotgun range. |
Would they do reservations for a group or is it first come first serve?
|
Hey guys, the gf doesn't like shooting 124gr +p Gold Dots in her LC9, so I need to get some standard pressure rounds for her. Of the 115/124/147 gr standard pressure Gold Dots which would you choose?
|
Quote:
For range and plinking I wouldn't really shoot anything over 115gr, and it's cheaper LOL. |

Will probably just stick to standard pressure 115/124gr for her. The LC9 is so light it gets very, very snappy with +p, making follow-up shots difficult. |

Though short-range practice with the AR isn't a waste. |

I have enough ammo for the Garand, AR, and pistols that I will be bringing to keep most people happy...
Might bring the Mosin just because I am mean... |
When are we planning on a range trip?

OK, my vote is for a November range trip. Cold weather shooting.

My vote is to go as soon as possible, I got new weapons to break in.. haha

Plus if I go by myself one hour is plenty with the G26. Now if I bring all my guns having the whole day would be great. |
I just dont think an hour would be enough time for me, especially with me having to zero my AR.
|
Yeah, it's not really worth it if you are shooting a rifle, but for pistol it works. There are no outdoor ranges anywhere close here in NOVA, it's really the only option within a 30 mile radius or so.
Shooting longer distances in an outdoor range will be nice, especially in cold weather. I don't know what it is about cold weather shooting that makes it even more fun. |
I dont know man, Im not diggin that shooting in the cold stuff.. haha:shakes head:

Needed to restock after the last couple range outings, so I just ordered 500 rds of 9mm Blazer Brass ($9.99/50) and 400 rounds of PMC X-TAC ($5.99/20) from Palmetto State Armory. $12 shipping, not bad.
|
And of course I'm facepalming now because I forgot to add Pmags to my order.
Edit: lots of places have them w/ free shipping. no big deal |
