I will say, all-in-all, I saved about $2k doing the watch instead. Though I still have my .308 build I'm working on and that is probably going to cost a lot more than my .300 build. Time will tell.

wowwww very nice watch sir...classiness at its finest.

Yeah man, have fun with that! You gonna lob some slugs down the range or just buckshot? Nothing like a rifled 18" shotgun chuckin' sabot rounds. ;) Who made your AR?

Assuming you were looking at Bolt-action's, then lol. The Semi-auto is about 8K...or, it WAS, when I shot it years ago.

Here's my SA XDM .45. I custom fit a Powder river Precision Competition trigger kit on here. Took almost 3 hours but was well worth it in the end. Also has the Heinie Slant Pro tritium night sights and a Streamlight TLR-3. Of course the light has to come off for day-to-day carry but if I go away on business for awhile I always have it handy.

The tritium night sights are something I'll never be without again, especially on a handgun. And fiber-optic fails in complete darkness so to me they are useless. My opinion though. Sending the slide off to SA for the sight replacement was freakin' fast and painless too. And cheap! So there ya have it. One more tool at my disposal.

How much? I was planning on getting tritium sites on my XDM 45.

I've always liked the TruGlo TFO sights. Best of both worlds... Very bright in daylight and night.

Around $100 on line. I've seen them as low as $85.

I have them on my G26 and they jump out at the range so much better than stand alone tritium sights. Some good comparisons online.

The tritium sights were $130 installed by Springfield and shipping was free on the return. So really not bad at all there. I personally don't like sights that attract the eye (such at FO) for personal carry as I do open carry often. I also find they are distracting to my eye. I always focus on the sight and say "oh pretty!" when I should be looking at my target.
