I get it. Range rule versus law... I saw a guy on an outdoor range shoot from the hip with a pistol grip and the front of his barrel took out two of his teeth. Learned his lesson I think.

I'm thinking we could probably get a least a half dozen if not more people to come after a meet one day to spend an hour or so at the range. Heck, I might even be able to get my Wife to shoot!

They will happily rent it out for groups. I can look into the specifics. I know they rent one of the 10 lane ranges. I'm not sure if you can rent the 50yd range or only the 25 yd one. You have to rent the ten lanes and they supply a Range Safety Officer for safety and assistance. I think it may be for $350 for the range and maybe 10 weapons. Ammo for the rental guns must be purchased from there. I will look into it and have information for discussion, if anyone is interested, during the Saturday FFX meet.

Correct, range rule.

People are dumb, sadly.

Personally, I see no need for a pistol grip on my 870, but that's me.

It's cool... but I feel like it's more versatile with a standard stock.

This is mine in tacticool loadout

Might go back to the OEM stock, though.

But then it won't fit in my case.

guitar cases are a great way to stay low profile

Yeah the reason I did it was because I was living in a yuppie apartment complex and didn't want to scare anyone with a totally obvious gun case.

I remember when I deployed overseas in 2004. We left Ft. Benning on a charter bus for Atlanta to fly out. When the bus stopped at the airport in Atlanta we all had to unload our gear and of course out came our weapon cases. Although we were all in civilian attire it was pretty clear we were all armed with long guns. People were stopping and staring like we were invading.

The haircuts probably tipped them off as well! :bowrofl:

Yes, a guitar case would definitely attract less unwanted attention.

That and the fact that you leave your guitar at my place so you can serenade me at night which left you with an unused guitar case.
