I'll add tacticool stuff to it later if I so desire, but right now I just want function.

check out these 2 sites, between my bro and myself we have ordered from here with no problems.

Discount Guns for Sale - Buds Gun Shop
Buy Gun Accessories, Hi-Capacity Mags, Scopes, Gun Parts & More at CDNN Sports, Inc.

both sites offer great prices on AR15's and both have built guns ranging from base ready to be modded to nearly loaded out minus like an eotec or someting.

if you wait a while i have noticed on buds base bushmaster AR15 without optics for like low 600's then you can get BAMS accessories and have a nice AR15 for less then 1k.

And an FYI Smith and Wesson has 100$ rebates on all their AR15's for police/military or retired military. If you are not either just have a friend or family member that is buy it for you.

I went shooting yesterday for my first time ever. Have to say I think I'm hooked. I definetely did not have the 12 guage in the right spot my first time shooting it, got a pretty nice bruise on my shoulder from it. But I did manage to hit one clay which I was happy with. Shot a bunch of 22s, a few different AR-15s and some pistols. I'm new to all this so I don't remember everything I shot. One of the guys had a mauser and a mosin nagant which I thought was pretty bad ***. Those bad boys had some kick! I thought they were cool just because I'm familiar with them from the original call of duty games on the pc. Anyway I think I might have to get a 22 just to be able to plink around with it and see if the facination grows from there.

The mosin Kills on both ends of the gun. That steel butt plate and the 7.62X54R is hell on your shoulder...

Steve, just do what I did. Go to rockriverarms, and buy that special they're having, then add to it. $1000, in and out, and you're done, for a badass AR-15, thats what I did. I called Rock River and they said they cant keep them in stock, they're flying off the shelves. I can believe it, its a good deal.

30 rounders are not eligible for sale in MD.

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I am doing all my due diligence and hopefully will figure something out for X-mas time. My goal is not to pay for any of it myself. :icon17:

I don't think so. Only MD residents can carry their guns to an MD range as far as I know.

MARYLAND—The unlicensed transportation of handguns in vehicles is prohibited, except for a variety of lawful purposes, including target shooting. A handgun must be transported unloaded and in an enclosed case or holster with a strap.

I travel to about 17 states a year for competitions and I usually drive but sometimes I fly. I am a resident of Indiana but I live in MD due to being stationed here in the military.

We have competitions here in MD and people come from other states all the time to shoot.

In that case I suggest you check with the ATF as I hear they give guns away for free...
